Intergender Bonzanza was formed in 2018 and was originally named Stan Stylez Intergender Bonanza after promotor Stan Stylez. As a performer, “Sizzling” Stan Stylez worked for various promotions, including the World Wide Wrestling Alliance, where he was WWWA High Impact Champion, as well as Renegade Wrestling Alliance and H2O Wrestling.
In a recent interview with RueTV, Stylez explained that what was supposed to be a one-off match between himself and Raena Sky in West Virginia in 2018 got such a great fan reaction that it gave him the idea to start this new, unique promotion which features hardcore and comedy intergender action (Watch full interview here).
The venue for this event was the H2O Wrestling Center in Williamstown, New Jersey. The venue was officially named the H20 Wrestling Center at The Kevin Hogan Memorial Hall upon it’s opening in 2018. Hogan, affectionately nicknamed “Whack Packer,” was a longtime wrestling fan often seen in the front row of events throughout the Northeast. He passed away in February of 2017.
Even though I arrived an hour before the doors were to open, I noticed a large group of loyal fans were already gathered around the back of the building. Inside the arena, there were two tables set up in different corners. IGB Champion Marcus Mathers was set up to sell merchandise at the table by the main entrance. The other table in the back sold snacks, raffle tickets, DVDs and more.

Stan Stylez made his way to the ring prior to the first match, sucking on a whipped cream can, spitting its contents into the air and onto the fans at ringside. Over a chorus of boos, Stylez informed the audience that he intended to beat the shit out of Marcus Mathers and take his IGB Championship later in the evening. As the fans chanted, “Marcus Mathers, Marcus Mathers,” the champion rushed the ring and challenged Stylez to settle the issue right then and there. Stylez took his coat off and started to get in the ring, but thought better of it. Instead, Stylez left the arena muttering, “I hate Marcus Mathers.”
MATCH #1
KENNEDI COPELAND vs. STEVE SCOTT

2hot Steve Scott entered the arena to the Chainsmokers song, “Selfie” and even stopped to take selfies with fans in the front row as he made his way to the ring for this opening match against H2O Hybrid Champion Kennedi Copeland.
Once the referee announced that the match would be contested under “relaxed rules,” the bell rang and Scott grabbed a headlock on Copeland. Kennedi tried to throw Scott into the ropes to escape, but Scott held on tightly. Copeland resorted to a foot stomp to finally escape Scott’s grasp, but Scott came off the ropes with a shoulder tackle that leveled Copeland.
Keeping the upper hand, Scott nailed Kennedi with some chops to the chest and a superkick. Copeland tried to retaliate with chops of her own and an elbow to the face, but Scott put her in a sharpshooter which nearly ended the match. However, Copeland fiercely made her way to the ropes to force a break.
After a Michinoku Driver resulted in just a two count, Steve Scott went outside the ring looking for tools of violence. Scott grabbed two folding chairs and threw them inside the ring. He set up one chair normally in the corner near the turnbuckles. He took a second chair and positioned it horizontally from one ring rope to the other chair. Copeland arose to nearly hit a tornado DDT on Scott onto the chairs, but Scott stopped her. From the top rope, however, Copeland picked Scott up into a power bomb and dropped him onto the contraption.
Copeland set Scott up in one of the chairs, after finding the other had broken, and climbed back up to the top rope. This time, when Copeland jumped, Scott caught her in a fireman’s carry into a Death Valley Driver onto the chairs. As the match wound down, Scott laid Copeland in one corner and put a chair over her face. Climbing the top rope for a Shane McMahon-style coast to coast leap, Scott was stunned as Copeland rose to her feet and threw the chair in Scott’s face. A Shining Wizard from Copeland was all she wrote.
WINNER: KENNEDI COPELAND
“MATCH #2
NIKKI ADDAMS vs. THE WHISPER

“The Innovator of Silence” The Whisper arrived in the arena and, unsurprisingly, motioned for everyone to hush. His opponent, Nikki Addams, said she can’t be quiet because she likes to be really loud.
As the match began, The Whisper grabbed a wristlock. Adams fell to the mat and crawled through Whisper’s legs to escape. Over the next couple of minutes, the two competitors exchanged holds as the momentum swung back and forth. After some wrist locks, hammer locks and reversals, the pair reset. A criss-cross flurry ended with an abdominal stretch by Addams to the Whisper, but Whisper reversed into a hammer lock. Addams attempted a snap mare, but Whisper prevented it. Whisper tried his own snap mare, but Addams stopped it. The pair rolled through and it was time for another reset.
Whisper managed to take control later in the contest with some elbows to the midsection of Addams followed by a back breaker. After surviving a pin attempt, Addams charged Whisper in the corner but was thrown over onto the apron. From there, Addams poked Whisper in the eye and landed a neck breaker onto the ropes to slow down the Whisper.
After alternating suplexes left both combatants on the mat exhausted, Addams and The Whisper rose and gave each other hard, loud chops before The Whisper nailed Addams with a clothesline and a driver. The Whisper climbed to the top rope for a corkscrew finishing move but missed. Addams rolled up The Whisper, put her feet on the ropes for the illegal leverage, and gained the hard fought victory.
WINNER: NIKKI ADDAMS
MATCH #3
DREW BLOOD vs. ADENA STEELE

Many fans know veteran Drew Blood from his days in CZW, WxW and Pro Wrestling Unplugged. Blood and his opponent Adena Steele clearly had a longstanding issue prior to this event. Before the bell rang, Blood said that people were insinuating that he cheated the last time, but cheating is not in his nature. Blood reached out for a handshake and show of sportsmanship from Steele who reluctantly agreed.
Blood tried to fake the handshake but got caught by Steele, who sent Blood to the outside to sit in the crowd for a breather. Steele followed him out and landed multiple chops to Blood who was still seated at ringside. Steele grabbed an inflatable alien from the audience, and whacked Blood with it, as well.
Back inside the ring, Steele kept control of the match with a splash, a running kick, and a second splash to the collapsed Drew Blood. When this flurry of offense resulted in just a two count for Steele, Adena locked Drew Blood in a Boston Crab in the center of the ring. Blood crawled slowly to grab the ropes, but Steele dragged him back to the middle. Blood tried to use the ref for leverage to escape, but ultimately threw Steele backwards to remove himself from her clutches.
Blood used a head clap and a neck breaker to gain the upper hand, then positioned Steele’s neck over the ropes and jumped on her back. Blood climbed to the top rope and landed a devastating knee drop. After three hard body slams, Blood went for another top rope move, this time an elbow drop, but Steele moved out of the way. Steele came back with a clothesline, a back body drop, and a spear. In the end, Steele connected with a knee and a spinning fisherman’s suplex for the win.
WINNER: ADENA STEELE
MATCH #4
MARC ANGEL vs. CHAD vs. MIRANDA GORDY

First to make his entrance, Marc Angel entered the ring and told the referee to remove his jacket for him. When the referee obliged, Angel said the ref touched his butt. The second contestant, Chad entered the ring drinking from a Jack Daniels bottle. Soon after, the crowd went crazy for Miranda Gordy, the daughter of Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy, who came out to her dad’s old entrance tune, Badstreet U.S.A.
Gordy and Angel got things going with a test of strength that was easily won by Gordy. Angel instructed Chad to take a shot at Gordy himself. Chad fared even worse than Angel prompting Miranda to call both men “chickens.” Then, Marc Angel had a great idea. “She can’t beat both of us,” Angel said to Chad. With that, each man used one hand in a final test of strength. Naturally, Gordy beat them both which led Chad to tell Marc Angel, “You lied to me, man!”
Frustrated by their incompetence, Angel and Chad double-kicked Miranda Gordy in the stomach. They attempted a double clothesline, but Gordy ducked and hit them with a double clothesline of her own. The action spilled outside the ring where Chad charged at Gordy, but missed and fell onto the inflatable alien at ringside. After Angel choked Gordy on the ropes, he grabbed the inflatable alien and beat Ms. Gordy with it.
Chad used that time to throw three chairs in the ring which he set up in a circle. All three competitors sat in the chairs as the fans encouraged them to “talk about their feelings.” Angel admitted that the inflatable alien looks like his ex-wife just as Gordy landed blows to his face. All three competitors landed forearms to each other until Gordy knocked Chad out of his chair with a huge right hand.
Standing up and still fighting, Gordy started to build some momentum until Marc Angel hit a cutter on her. Angel attempted a pin, but was pulled off by Chad. As Chad attempted to cover Gordy instead, Angel pulled him off and the two began arguing. Chad told Marc Angel that they needed a plan. So, Chad rushed Miranda, only to be body slammed and sent away. Angel followed and met the same fate. After two devastating clotheslines to the men, Miranda Gordy caught Chad in her submission finisher for the victory.
Stan Stylez ran out from the back to let Chad and Marc Angel know how he felt about their embarassing loss. For submitting to Miranda Gordy, Stylez banned Chad from the arena. The boss turned to Angel who noted that he did not actually lose the match. Stylez responded, “You didn’t win, either,” and banned Angel, too.
WINNER: MIRANDA GORDY
MATCH #5
MASHA SLAMOVICH vs. G-RAVER

The crowd at the H2O Wrestling Center were big fans of “The Resident Psycho,” G-Raver. Chants of “G-Raver, G-Raver” filled the arena as he appeared from the back wearing his horned mask. His opponent, Masha Slamovich, who more mainstream fans may have seen in IMPACT Wrestling recently, immediately got nose to nose with her opponent in the center of the ring.
Some impressive chain wrestling kicked off the match as neither competitor could gain an advantage. Fans began to clap encouragement for G-Raver as he and Masha criss-crossed until Masha grabbed a headlock. G-Raver elbowed his way out of the headlock and cleverly avoided a Masha spin kick. Slamovich said, “COME ON!” and slapped G-Raver in the face. They exchanged increasingly stiff forearms until one finally knocked Slamovich off of her feet. She arose immediately with several quick punches to the gut of G-Raver, but he stopped her with a running knee.
The action got more violent later in the match when the two challengers took to the outside of the ring. Masha stomped on G-Raver and slammed him in the back with a steel chair. In response, G-Raver ran at Masha and kicked the chair she was holding into her face. At this point, G-Raver started throwing multiple chairs into the ring. G-Raver sat Slamovich in one of the chairs only to knock her out of it with a nasty boot to the face.
With a pile of chairs in the ring, Slamovich stunned G-Raver with three running kicks and a spin kick. Masha grabbed even more chairs and suplexed G-Raver onto the pile. Slamovich set up two of the chairs and hit two German suplexes on G-Raver through the chairs, as well.
G-Raver responded by laying Masha across the top turnbuckle and landing a senton from the top rope to Slamovich. G-Raver told the fans at ringside, “I didn’t want to do this, but now I have no choice.” G-Raver looked under the ring, found a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire, and placed it on top of the growing pile of chairs in the middle of the ring.
G-Raver drove Masha into the pile and onto the barbed wire with a double underhook pile driver, but only got a two count. G-Raver tried a driver onto the barbed wire chair, but Masha kicked out once again. Slamovich made her final comeback with a shining wizard and a power bomb onto the chairs. When this earned just a two count from the referee, Slamovich picked up G-Raver in the Torture Rack and slammed him face first into the chairs for the victory.
WINNER: MASHA SLAMOVICH
MATCH #6
BRITTANY BLAKE vs. SEXY STEVE

Unfortunately, Brittany Blake’s scheduled opponent, Jeff Cannonball, was unable to appear. Blake told the crowd that Cannonball was probably too ashamed to show up after being beaten by woman after woman in IGB. This did not solve Blake’s problem as she still needed an opponent. Blake made an open challenge to any man, woman…or whatever that wanted to take her on.
From the audience, a man responded and offered to compete with Ms. Blake. We soon learned that this man was Blake’s fiancé, who asked the crowd to call him Sexy Steve. Blake tried to convince Steve that he did not have to do that for her, but Steve insisted. He asked for a kiss on the cheek and then a hug, then ambushed his partner with a clothesline.
Shocked that her fiancé would do something like that, Blake screamed, “Are you kidding me?!?” Steve grinned, body slammed Blake to the mat, and celebrated. Steve managed just a one count, so he went for a power bomb to Blake. She reversed out of the hold, landed a hurricanrana, an ensiguri, and a 619. Steve tried to take a breather on the outside, but Blake threw him back in for a spear and a running knee.
Blake charged once more, but Steve caught her in a body slam. Steve charged, but missed and found himself in a tornado DDT from Blake. Brittany climbed to the top rope, but was met up there by Sexy Steve. Steve attempted a superplex, but Blake was able to block it and push him off the top rope onto the mat. Blake leapt from up high for a stomp to the back of Sexy Steve and the fiancé was finished.
WINNER: BRITTANY BLAKE
MATCH #7
GABBY ORTIZ vs. DARIEN HARDWAY

This was the first match of the evening that, at first sight, appeared to be a physical mismatch. “The Kryptonian” Darien Hardway is over six feet tall, at least 250 pounds, and looks to be all muscle. Gabby Ortiz looked to be barely five feet tall and no match for the physically gifted Kryptonian. However, Gabby Ortiz was not to be taken lightly.
Ortiz started off with a push to Hardway that had little effect. Hardway gave Ortiz a shove of his own, which sent Gabby onto her back. Ortiz got back up and smacked the Kryptonian. Again, no effect. Hardway easily picked up Ortiz and slammed her to the mat. When a criss-cross ended with a shoulder tackle by Hardway, Gabby Ortiz needed a minute at ringside to regain her composure. The fans wanted her to get back in, but Ortiz seemed apprehensive.
Eventually, Hardway followed her outside the ring to continue the fight. Ortiz tried multiple chops to Hardway’s chest with no success. Hardway countered by slamming Gabby’s head into the ring apron several times. Hardway rolled in and out of the ring to reset the referee’s count and was caught by several blows from Ortiz.
When Hardway returned fire with a slap to the face, Ortiz oversold it. She told the crowd she needed a minute because the slap really hurt. However, it was all a ruse. As soon as Hardway let his guard down, Ortiz slammed his face into the ring post.
Inside the ring, the more powerful Hardway took control. He landed a hard clothesline, an elbow and a spinebuster that drilled Ortiz into the mat. But with a brief opportunity, Ortiz connected with a low blow to Darien Hardway. Ortiz slammed Hardway’s face into the mat and covered him for the seventh consecutive victory and a clean sweep for the women.
WINNER: GABBY ORTIZ
MATCH #8
MARCUS MATHERS (c) vs. STAN STYLEZ
INTERGENDER BONANZA SUPER CHAMPIONSHIP

The King of Cream, Stan Stylez confidently strode to the ring with his Shake Weight in hand and wearing pants that said, “Marcus Sucks” on them. Just like earlier, the crowd erupted when the champion Marcus Mathers entered from the dressing room. Stylez wasted no time and attacked Mathers before the bell. Stylez choked Mathers with his shirt and exclaimed, “This is my fucking show!” Stylez picked up the championship belt and leveled Mathers with it.
Stylez looked for, and found, his canister of whipped cream at ringside. He sprayed whipped cream into the champion’s mouth. Stylez flipped off Mathers then connected with a stunner that sent whipped cream flying from the champion’s mouth high into the air. When this resulted in a count of two, Stylez threw a temper tantrum in the middle of the ring.
Using this moment to regain his composure, Marcus Mathers waited for Stylez to pick him up in pile driver position and bit the challenger’s fingers. A Mathers spin kick sent Stylez out of the ring and a tope suicida floored the challenger. At ringside, Marcus Mathers grabbed a fan’s cane and pounded Stylez with it. After a loud chop from Mathers, and a second chop from a fan, Mathers retrieved the inflatable alien and beat Stylez with that, too.
As the challenger squeezed a headlock tightly on Mathers inside the ring, the fans chanted loudly for their champion to break the hold. This infuriated Stylez who told the fans to shut up. He claimed to be channeling the “O.G. Stan Stylez” when he slapped Mathers across the face. The champion countered with hard chops and a series of Bryan Danielson-style Yes kicks. The two men exchanged blows in the center of the ring before Stylez yelled out, “Hit me mother fucker!!” Mathers obliged repeatedly, but was stunned by a poke to the eye from the challenger.
Later in the contest, Stylez would nearly push Mathers into the referee, but Mathers was able to narrowly avoid disaster. Unfortunately, a misplaced superkick knocked the referee out moments later. This gave Stylez the opportunity to land a low blow to Mathers. A whipped cream facial to the champion gave Stylez the opportunity for a pin, but there was no referee to count the fall. A second referee came out from the back, but not in time for a pinfall. Upset at this missed opportunity, Stylez pushed the new referee who pushed Stylez to the mat at flashed a crotch chop at him.
Stylez retaliated with a stunner to the second referee and rolled him out of the ring. The challenger searched for his Shake Weight and looked to do some damage with it. However, Marcus Mathers was ready and took the Shake Weight away. Mathers connected with a 450 splash from the top rope, but there was no referee to count the fall. At that moment, Marc Angel rushed in from outside the arena and hit a tombstone piledriver to Marcus Mathers. Angel put Stylez on top of Mathers and awakened the referee who counted the fall.
After the match, the new champion hugged Marc Angel and said that Marc is his best friend in the whole world. As they celebrated, Stylez took whipped cream and sprayed the back of the fallen Mathers with the letters “cWo,” which, of course, stands for Cream World Order. The villains left ringside in celebration as Stylez told Marc Angel that he is no longer banned.
WINNER AND NEW IGB CHAMPION: STAN STYLEZ
Intergender Bonanza is a very unique promotion which puts on a fun and entertaining show. Even though intergender wrestling is becoming more popular and accepted in the industry, IGB provides more than just that. An IGB show has hardcore action, technical wrestling, comedy spots, and compelling drama. It is not a PG rated event, by any means, but the show still featured something for most everyone.
As far as the matches, the wrestling was impressive and the performers put on a great show. The sheer brutality of Masha Slamovich was really impressive, but all of the matches were well-crafted and well-executed. If you haven’t been to an IGB show before, I suggest you make plans to be in Williamstown, New Jersey in March 2022 for IGB 11.
