Assault Wrestling Alliance held its latest event, “March Madhouse” from the Assault Asylum located inside the Unique Sports Academy in Waldorf, Maryland on March 26, 2022.
Prior to the show, all of the performers gathered around the ringside area as announcers Kelly Michelle, JD4, and James Dorsey spoke at length about the storied career of the recently-passed wrestling legend. A ten-bell salute followed for the Southern Maryland native, who died on March 14, 2022.

The silence that stood in that moment was the last of the evening. This crowd was one of the hottest I have ever seen, thanks in large part to the young fans in attendance. These kids were screaming their heads off for their favorites and loudly booing the bad guys all night long.
MATCH #1
GEORGE BROMAN, JR. vs. “COLOSSAL” MIKE LAW

The best example of the crowd’s intensity could be found in this first match between George Broman, Jr. and “Colossal” Mike Law. Everytime Mike Law went on offense, the crowd erupted. When Broman tried, the kids in the audience ran to the guardrail to harass him. At one point, Broman rolled out of the ring to continue arguing with the fans. Having enough, Mike Law connected with a tope suicida and rolled Broman back into the ring.
Later, a Mike Law tornado DDT from the second rope left both men on the mat exhausted. The two men exchanged forearm shots on their knees, then continued on their feet. Mike Law landed a Bionic Elbow, a clothesline and a running forearm to drop Broman, but was distracted by Mr. Salazar at ringside. As Law and Salazar argued and distracted the referee, Broman hit a low blow to secure the victory.
After the match, Alejandro Avery, who was not scheduled to compete, entered the arena with Bryan Simmons and joined Mr. Salazar and George Broman, Jr. at the interview podium. Avery announced that these men have formed a new faction, known as The Cartel, Inc. These guys would make their presence known later in the evening.
WINNER: GEORGE BROMAN, JR.
MATCH #2
VICIOUS MALICE vs. THE STATIC AGE

In their pre-match interview, Vicious Malice, consisting of “Vicious” Von Milla and Malice Maxis, said that even though this is their first match as a tag team in AWA they’ve been here individually all along. They planned on getting their first win as a tag team on this night, but The Static Age had other plans.
Both of these teams worked well together. At the beginning of the match, it was The Static Age who used frequent tags to prevent Von Milla from tagging out. Once Milla rallied and tagged in Maxis, it was Vicious Malice who cut off the ring to prevent River the Sickopath from reaching his partner, Madd Maxx Morrison.
After Malice Maxis used a double knee facebreaker to get a near fall on River, Madd Maxx came in. Morrison flipped off Von Milla and hit a spinning uranage to Maxis as River came off the top rope with a flying headbutt.
WINNER: THE STATIC AGE
MATCH #3
STAN STYLEZ & R.J. “MUTHA FLIPPIN” MORGAN vs. OLIJAH FRIDAY
& BEAU CROCKETT

The Creamy World Order told the crowd that the cWo is taking over whether they like it or not. Beau Crockett and Olijah Friday decided to check with the fans about that. Crockett took the microphone and, in tribute to Scott Hall, took a survey. When the fans chose Beau and Olijah over the cWo, Crockett exclaimed, “Chalk one up for the good guys.”
Stan Stylez said he wanted to face off with Beau Crockett instead of Olijah Friday. As soon as Stylez and Crockett locked up, however, Stylez fled for the ropes and rolled out of the ring. Stylez conferred with Morgan for a while and seemed disinterested in returning to the ring. Stylez worked out with his Shake Weight and did jumping jacks until the fans chanted “Scaredy Cat! Scaredy Cat!”
Later, R. J Morgan floored Olijah Friday with a Shining Wizard and took to the top rope for a moonsault. Morgan missed and made the hot tag to Crockett. Stylez attempted a flying body press, but Crockett caught him mid-air and hit the Scott Hall-style fall away slam. Crockett put Stylez in a sharpshooter at one end as Olijah Friday put whipped cream in Stylez’ mouth at the other.
WINNERS: BEAU CROCKETT & OLIJAH FRIDAY
MATCH #4
CHRIS MOORE vs. BRYAN SIMMONS

An angry Chris Moore met Jimmy Dorsey at the podium before this match began. He said that Bryan Simmons and Alejandro Avery paid off the Commission to prevent Paragon from being in Moore’s corner during this Assaultweight Division match, but two-on-one odds means Moore would be able to “slaughter both of them.”
Simmons withstood a barrage of offense from Moore and managed to gain the upper hand by working Moore’s leg. Simmons would distract the referee to allow Alejandro Avery to pound on Moore in the corner, hit a double knee facebreaker, and go back to the leg.
Eventually, Moore used a hard shoulder tackle and a sidewalk slam to take back the momentum. Moore hit a splash in the corner, then lifted Simmons up and sent him crashing face first into the turnbuckle. Sensing a sure victory for Moore, Alejandro Avery jumped in the ring and attacked Moore.
George Broman, Jr. joined in for a triple-team effort until Beau Crockett and Olijah Friday ran in to make the save. Paragon joined them at the interview podium after the match. Paragon said that The Cartel, Inc. better not put their hands on his boy Paragon again because he is his brother’s keeper.
WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: CHRIS MOORE
MATCH #5
ANTHONY ATHENS (c) vs. LIVID THE CLOWN
AWA MERCILESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Although Anthony Athens told Livid that the AWA is no place for a clown, this match for the AWA Merciless Championship ended up being a circus. Livid started the match by asking Athens what was “up there.” When Athens looked, Livid slapped him. The two men crisscrossed several times before Livid said “STOP,” told Athens to look up…and slapped him again.
After several failed attempts to use foreign objects, Livid reached into his bag of tricks for some Legos which he poured all over the mat. Before Livid could use the Legos to his advantage, Athens snuck up slammed him hard onto the toys with a uranage. Livid took some punishment for a while after that, but took back control by slamming Athens onto the Legos and going up top for a moonsault. Livid missed and landed front-first onto the Legos this time. Athens responded with a big boot he calls “Count the Lights” which caused Livid to do just that.
WINNER: ANTHONY ATHENS
MATCH #6
OLIVIA DEVINE vs. MOTHER ENDLESS vs. JUDI HENDRIX vs. UNWILTING TATIANA
AWA ROSE DIVISION WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

It was announced earlier in the evening, that the lone women’s match on the card would be to crown the first ever AWA Rose Division Women’s Champion. It would be a four corners elimination match with the last wrestler remaining crowned champion.
In her pre-event promos, Judi Hendrix said that she had some unfinished business with Olivia Devine. The two ladies immediately began battling in the ring while, outside, Mother Endless and Tatiana battled. Once inside the ring, Mother Endless and Tatiana continued to fight with one another until Olivia Devine entered and threw Mother Endless out of the ring. Devine hit a Samoan Drop to Tatiana for the first elimination.
With Tatiana out, Mother Endless and Judi Hendrix tried to double team the much larger Devine. They piled on top of each other three different times to double their chances to secure the pin on Devine. Each attempt failed. However, when Mother Endless lifted Devine up in a fireman’s carry, Hendrix connected with a senton as Endless dropped Devine to the mat. This time, the double pin secured the elimination.
The two remaining competitors brawled outside the ring until Mother Endless rolled Henrix back inside and took control with a blatant hair pull followed by an Olympic slam. Hendrix tried to get the crowd involved by shouting, “LET’S GO!!” and hit a DDT to Endless. Mother Endless countered an attempted Monkey Flip by Hendrix and stomped on Judi’s face. Endless locked Hendrix in a submission. When Hendrix reached for the ropes, Mother Endless locked it in even harder.
WINNER AND NEW CHAMPION: MOTHER ENDLESS
MATCH #7
FLY FELLAS (c) vs. THE MOUNTAIN MEN
AWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

This much-anticipated match for the AWA Tag Team titles would be a two-out-of-three falls match. The Mountain Men were in control for much of the contest. During the first fall, Everest and Hyde double-teamed AK for several minutes. AK would rally momentarily, but then found himself on the receiving end of two nasty leg drops from Hyde. AK was able to move out of the way of the third one, but got squashed and pinned when he tried to body slam the much larger Hyde.
The Mountain Men picked up where they left off in the second fall. Everest sent AK outside the ring and followed him out to do more damage. Everest charged at AK by the ring steps, but AK moved causing Everest to collide with the solid steel stairs. Inside, AK continued the rally with a Pedigree to Hyde and the hot tag to Isaiah Frazier. The Fly Fellas double teamed Hyde until Everest made his way back into the ring and threw AK out. Everest hit two choke slams on Frazier, but could not secure the pin. Frazier countered a third choke slam attempt with a small package for the second fall.
The third fall ended quickly when, out of frustration, Hyde shoved the referee which caused a disqualification. The Mountain Men destroyed Frazier and told the Fly Fellas to “Keep the title!” At the interview podium, Mr. Salazar, who had been scouting the match from the crowd, said The Mountain Men need direction and offered to be their new manager. At the same time, Salazar’s other tag team, The Static Age, came out,, and challenged the Fly Fellas to a championship match at the next event.
WINNERS BY DISQUALIFICATION: THE FLY FELLAS
MATCH #8
BRYM STONE vs. PARAGON (c)
AWA TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Paragon came to the ring wearing three championship belts, including the AWA Television title which he won at Homecoming in October 2021. A cocky Paragon informed his challenger, Brym Stone, that he would defend all three titles. Paragon said, “When I win, he’s gonna know who his daddy is.” Of course, Paragon spent the next few minutes doing anything but wrestling, getting in fights with fans and announcer Jimmy Dorsey to avoid having to face his challenger.
Once the match started, the two men found themselves brawling around ringside. Paragon worked Brym Stone’s arms by slamming them into the ring post. The champ rolled Brym Stone back into the ring and stomped on his elbow. The live crowd let Paragon know their feelings on this attack. Paragon responded by asking, “You want to boo me?” He stomped on Brym Stone’s elbow a second time and said, “BOO THAT!”
Brym Stone and Paragon each missed a splash on the other, which left both men down on the mat, exhausted. Brym Stone managed to put an arm over Paragon for a pin attempt, but Paragon placed his foot on the ropes.
Brym Stone told the crowd, “I’m going up top!” as the crowd chanted, “FINISH HIM!” Brym Stone missed the move and Paragon countered with a snap mare. The champ hit two running knee strikes to Brym Stone and revved up for a third. At that moment, The Cartel, Inc. ran in from the locker room and attacked everybody.
Beau Crockett and Olijah Friday ran in to even the numbers and make the save. After the match, old rivals, Paragon and Beau Crockett confronted each other in the ring, but ended up shaking hands. At the interview podium, Paragon said that he still does not like Beau Crockett, but “the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So we’re coming for you.”
RESULT: DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION
