WrestlePro Alaska’s big third anniversary Super Show took place on April 9, 2022 from the Egan Convention Center in Anchorage, Alaska and was broadcast on pay-per-view via FITE. Here’s what happened:

MATCH #1
DIRTY DANGO vs. “ICEBERG” DEONN RUSMAN (c)
WRESTLEPRO GOLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Dirty Dango spent the majority of this match’s opening moments taking shots at the crowd and Alaska in general. Dango would dominate the early stages of the match after he used a referee distraction to poke the hometown champ, Deonn Rusman, in the eye.
Dango successfully halted Rusman’s attempts to rally several times. Late in the match, Rusman would hit several clotheslines and a blue thunderbomb to Dango. When Rusman charged, Dango moved the referee into Rusman’s path. The brief delay, gave Dango the chance to hit a sit-out suplex and head to the top rope. Rusman had it scouted and kipped up as Dango jumped over him. When Dango turned around, Rusman hit him with a spear. Afterward, the champ celebrated the win with his dad in the center of the ring.
WINNER: “ICEBERG”” DEONN RUSMAN
MATCH #2
PLANET PAYNE FITNESS & PERFORMANCE vs. ZACH GOWEN, BRYSOL AXL & AURON WEST
The action continued with a six-man elimination tag match featuring former WWE and TNA star, Zach Gowen. Early in the match, Auron West attempted a top-rope move, but was caught with a knee to the crotch coming off the turnbuckle. From there, PPF hit a modified Hart Attack with a spear instead of a clothesline to send Auron to the showers. Bryson AXL managed to hit a sidewalk slam and get a near fall, but another crotch shot from Planet Payne gave them a three to one advantage.
Facing incredible odds, Gowen jumped into the ring fearlessly. Zach cleared all three men from the ring, then hit a plancha that leveled PPF. PPF took control back inside the ring, but the modified Hart Attack and a Swanton Bomb could not secure the victory for the bad guys. A botched attempt to hit Gowen with his own prosthetic went south, resulting in the quick eliminations of PW3 and Chadd Dillon.
With only Tyler Payne and Zach Gowen left, Tyler Payne hit a superkick, but his next move was reversed into a small package. Payne went for a figure four and Gowen wrapped him up again. Frustrated, Payne went for a splash, then kept his feet on the ropes to get the underhanded victory.
WINNERS: PLANET PAYNE FITNESS & PERFORMANCE
MATCH #3
FALLAH BAHH (c) vs. HEATH
WRESTLEPRO ALASKA LAST FRONTIER CHAMPIONSHIP
Heath’s strategy seemed to be to get the WrestlePro Alaska Last Frontier Champion, Fallah Bahh off his feet. The strategy did not work too well, though, as two shoulder tackles and a standing switch seemed to amuse Bahh. When the champ told Heath, “NO, NO, NO” and flipped him off, Heath went for a third shoulder tackle, but faked and kicked the big man in the gut. Bahh used a body slam to give him time to ascend to the middle rope, but Heath got up and pushed the champion out onto the floor.
Heath tried several different ways to beat down Bahh and leave him outside the ring to be counted out, but nothing worked. When Bahh made it back into the ring, he was fired up. Heath’s punches had no effect and caused the crowd to chant, “BAHH!” after each one. Heath tried a sunset flip, but Bahh sat out. Bahh was up first. He hit three clotheslines, then a samoan drop to seal the deal.
WINNER: FALLAH BAHH

MATCH #4
TOMMY DREAMER vs. BOBBY WAYWARD (c)
WRESTLEPRO ALASKA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
The Innovator of Violence was on fire from the opening bell against the WrestlePro Alaska Heavyweight Champion, Bobby Wayward. Dreamer excited the crowd with some Dusty Rhodes jabs followed by what looked to be a Bionic Elbow. When Wayward ducked and came off the ropes, the Bionic Elbow sent the champ outside for a breather. Dreamer followed and sought some help with his offense. Dreamer began calling up audience members, mostly kids, to chop Wayward in the chest as they battled around ringside.
Back inside the ring, it was all Wayward until a missed leg drop opened the door for a cutter by Tommy Dreamer. The challenger went outside for a chair, but the champ countered and slammed Dreamer into the chair himself. Wayward set up the chair in between two turnbuckles, but ended up reverse whipped into it by Dreamer. After a DDT, Dreamer set the chair upright and put Wayward on his back. The champ wriggled out, hit a drop toe hold that smashed Dreamer’s face into the chair and hit a running back elbow to put the legend down for good.
WINNER: BOBBY WAYWARD

MATCH #5
FREYA THE SLAYA vs. SCARLETT BORDEAUX
Scarlett Bordeaux attacked Freya the Slaya before the bell rang, but Freya controlled the match for the most part. Bordeaux tried to escape a Freya scissors leg lock around her midsection, but was unable to do so. Whichever direction Scarlett moved, Freya rolled with her. Soon, the two ladies were rolling in a circle around the ring. From there, the Slaya set Bordeaux up in the Tree of Woe and nailed her with a cannonball from the opposite corner.
Scarlett would make the come back and nearly put Freya out with a guillotine choke. Freya reversed into an exploder suplex, but Scarlett used a spear to set up a sleeper hold on the much larger Freya. The Slaya managed to stand up with Scarlett still on her back and snapmared her over onto the mat. Freya charged, but missed. The savvy Smoke Show rolled up Freya and put her feet on the ropes to earn the tainted victory.
WINNER: SCARLETT BORDEAUX

MATCH #6
KEVIN MATTHEWS vs. “INCREDIBLE” CHRIS WILDE
UCE CHAMPIONSHIP
A video package showed the history between these two competitors, including their last battle two years ago which was won by the young upstart, Chris Wilde. Kevin Matthews explained that he was out of shape and rusty the last time they fought, but he had trained and was ready for this sequel. Wilde said Matthews career must be in its twilight for Matthews to be so focused on the past.
Wilde looked to take control early, but Matthews used a superplex and a pump handle slam to slow the champion. After a full nelson slam failed to put away Wilde, the champion used a big boot to set up a top-rope tornado DDT. Matthews blocked the move, but found himself locked in a submission hold. Somehow, Matthews reversed into his own submission move which caused Chris Wilde to pass out.
WINNER: KEVIN MATTHEWS
MATCH #7
907 #1 CONTENDER BATTLE ROYAL
This was a Royal Rumble style battle royal starting with two competitors. Additional competitors would enter every thirty second. The winner of the battle royal will receive a future 907 Championship opportunity. The order of entry was:
- Jerry Bishop
- Marcus D. Centaur
- Nanook
- Eric Rightshow
- Ben Dossman
- Bull Bryant
- Tommy Guerrera
- Chet Lucas
- Gunner
- Rome Gibson
- Officer Mercury
- Bobby Bishop
- Tama
The final four came down to Tama, Jerry Bishop, Bull Bryant and Ben Dossman. Within seconds, Dossman was eliminated by Jerry Bishop and Bull Bryant was eliminated by Tama. Tama picked up Bishop in a fireman’s carry and set him outside on the apron. Bishop pulled Tama’s hair to get both men out on the edge. After an exchange of forearms, Bishop poked Tama in the eye and nailed him with a superkick off the apron.
WINNER: JERRY BISHOP
MATCH #8
KC NAVARRO vs. JUSTIN CORINO
KC Navaro and Justin Corino hit the ground running with a flurry of high flying offense that got the crowd on its feet right away. When Navarro his a basement dropkick, followed by a tope suicida AND a somersault plancha to the outside, the fans went insane.
Corino took control on the outside when he caught Navarro in an attempted hurricanrana and swung his head back and forth into the guardrail. Back inside, Navarro charged, but Corino flipped him over onto the apron. Navarro tried to spring in, but the crafty Corino punched Navarro mid-spring and dropped him with an STO on the apron.
Later, Corino would chide the referee for a slow count following a Michinoku Driver and could not figure out what it would take to put away KC. Corino set Navarro up on the top turnbuckle, but Navarro pushed Corino down and looked to hit a high-risk move on Corino, but took too long. Corino got up and pushed the ropes which caused Navarro to fall. A spinning neckbreaker seemed to seal the victory for Corino, but the referee noticed Navarro’s foot on the ropes. With Corino stunned, Navarro used some quick kicks to set up the Jesus Piece and finished off Justin Corino.
WINNER: KC NAVARRO

MATCH #9
DAN MAFF vs. KILLER KROSS
Killer Kross must have pissed off Dan Maff when he gave him the middle finger before the bell rang. Once the match started, Maff used every dirty trick in the book. When Kross grabbed a wristlock, Maff ran to the ropes. Next, the bald Maff accused Kross of pulling his hair. In the corner, the ref called for break and Maff took the opportunity to pull Kross’ face into the turnbuckle. Kross rolled to the outside and appeared to be legitimately injured, so the referee went out to check on him. Unimpressed, Maff rolled outside threw Kross into the guardrail, bit his face and raked his back.
Maff would continue to dominate inside the ring until Kross caught Maff in a cross face, then used a double leg takedown to put Maff in a Sharpshooter. A face rake put Maff back in control, and a rear choke seemed poised to end the night for Kross. The referee checked to see if Kross would submit, but Kross flipped him off.
The rear choke turned into a nerve hold before Kross finally rallied. With several forearms and an elbow in the corner, Kross would hit a side suplex and signal for the end. Maff saw the signal and headbutted Kross. However, a Kross boot and a clothesline set up the big forearm to the back of the head for Killer Kross.
WINNER: KILLER KROSS

MATCH #10
SHAWN DONAVAN & TRAXX vs BEAR COUNTRY (c)
WRESTLEPRO TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
I met all four of the competitors in this match at Stand Alone Wrestling’s “The Big Bang!” in October 2021. On this night, they would battle for the Wrestlepro Tag Team Championships.
Bear Country, who many fans have seen on AEW, entered this match as champions to defend against Shawn Donavan and Traxx who used good tag team work to maintain the advantage early on. Bear Bronson came incredibly close to making the tag to Boulder, coming just millimeters away before being pulled away by the challengers. Finally, Traxx hit a piledriver as Donavan went to the top rope. Bronson sling-shotted Traxx into the corner and hit the topes which caused Donavan to fall.
A fresh Boulder leveled both Donavan and Traxx with body slams and a double clothesline. The challengers joined together to suplex the big man, but Boulder reversed and suplexed both men by himself. A Vader Bomb by Boulder garnered just a two count, so Boulder went back up for a second one. This time, Donavan ran along the apron and punched Boulder to prevent the move.
Unphased, Bear Country looked for the Elevator Drop, but Traxx kicked Boulder’s leg out from under him, causing Bronson to drop to the mat. Seemingly in control, Traxx speared Bronson and Donavan nailed a spinebuster, but they could not secure the pin. When Traxx tried to Spear Boulder, he missed and nailed Donavan. This gave Bear Country another chance to get the Elevator Drop right and retain the titles.
WINNERS: BEAR COUNTRY
MATCH #11
KID MONEY (w/ Y.T. JONES) (c) vs. A.J. RADICAL
907 PRO WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP
YT Jones distracted the challenger, A.J. Radical, just long enough to allow the 907 Pro Wrestling Champion, Kid Money to gain the advantage after the bell rang. The two men battled outside the ring and up the ramp as the referee maintained a very slow ten count. Kid Money dropped Radical’s neck on the guardrail, then quickly rolled in and out of the ring to reset the count.
Money dominated the match on the outside and stayed in control once he tossed the lifeless A.J. Radical back into the ring. A.J. would rally with a side suplex, a splash in the corner and an inverted DDT to the champion. A Kid Money knee to the face would slow Radical momentarily. However, Radical converted a Dragon Screw Leg Whip into a Texas Cloverleaf and the champ submitted. After winning the title, Radical proposed to the referee, who said yes immediately.
WINNER, NEW CHAMPION, AND NEWLY ENGAGED: A.J. RADICAL

MATCH #12
AMAZING GRAYSONS (c) vs. LSG & WORLD FAMOUS CB
WRESTLEPRO ALASKA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Finally, we arrived at what was supposed to be the main event, featuring two more performers from Stand Alone Wrestling, the WrestlePro Alaska tag champs, The Amazing Graysons, and two of my favorite performers from Ring of Honor, LSG and the World Famous CB. The champs used quick tags early to maintain control on CB until he was able to make the tag. LSG cleared the ring of both Graysons, then cartwheeled out onto the floor to continue the attack.
Tommy Grayson pulled YT Jones in front of him just long enough to distract LSG as JP Grayson nailed him from behind. All three men attacked LSG and threw him back in the ring where the Graysons appeared to be in cruise control. After a sidewalk slam and double elbow drop, LSG caused the Graysons to slam into each other and tag World Famous CB.
CB hit seven consecutive clotheslines on JP in the corner, but missed the eighth. Instead, CB hopped up on the second rope for a cross body. JP Grayson caught CB mid-air and locked CB in an abdominal stretch. CB reversed which caused Tommy Grayson to enter and get caught in a CB front face lock too.
Seemingly in control, LSG hit basement drop kicks to both Graysons on the outside and CB followed with a cross body to the floor from the top turnbuckle. LSG and JP were the first back into the ring and found themselves exchanging forearms on their knees. Rising they continued to battle until simultaneous cross body attempts left both men on the mat exhausted. They crawled to their respective corners and tagged in Tommy Grayson and CB. Tommy Grayson missed a boot and CB countered with hard slaps. However, when CB went for a cover, Tommy Grayson rolled him into a crucifix for the surprise ending.
WINNERS: AMAZING GRAYSONS
MATCH #13
AMAZING GRAYSONS (c) vs. BOBCAT MCDILLON & DAN MAFF
WRESTLEPRO ALASKA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
A confident YT Jones took to the microphone and challenged any one at any time on any day to a match for the tag team championships. Bobcat McDillon, whose challenge to Dan Maff earlier in the evening was essentially ignored, stormed out from the back to challenge the tag champs by himself.
Laughing, the champs eagerly accepted. When the bell rang, McDillon fought valiantly, at one point reversing a double suplex by the Graysons into a double DDT that left everyone down. At that moment, the music hit and Bobcat’s old rival, Dan Maff appeared and leveled both Graysons. The champs rallied with a Canadian Destroyer to Maff, but were shocked when it had no effect on the big man.
JP Grayson evaded a Maff cannonball and landed several forearms, then went for a handspring move. Maff caught JP mid-move, threw him up in a torture rack, and dropped him to the mat with a facebuster. From there, Maff put Bobcat on top of JP, then sat down on top of both men to ensure the victory.
WINNERS AND NEW TAG CHAMPS: BOBCAT MCDILLON & DAN MAFF
