Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 88 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at CCW’s Bash at the Brew 15 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on April 8, 2022. Here is what happened:

The episode got started with a bloody Kilynn King celebrating her victory over Marina Tucker at Bash at the Brew 15. King is interrupted by Christi Jaynes who stepped up to be King’s next challenger for the CCW Women’s Championship.

MATCH #1
GANGREL vs. ALEX CHAMBERLAIN

Alex Chamberlain’s return to CCW started with an old school Chamberlain Challenge. Alex took the microphone and called out anyone in the locker room to face him. The crowd erupted when Gangrel’s music hit. The celebration was short-lived as Chamberlain attacked Gangrel before the bell rang.

Chamberlain used underhanded tactics to keep the advantage early in the match, including choking Gangrel on the ring ropes and eye rakes. Eventually, the action spilled to the outside, where Chamberlain threw Gangrel into the ring steps. When Gangrel countered with a chop, Chamberlain threw him into the ring steps again.

Gangrel gets caught on the top rope

The referee’s count made it to nine before Chamberlain threw Gangrel onto the apron. Before he returned to the ring himself, Chamberlain crushed Gangrel with a leg drop on the apron and smashed his face into the canvas. However, Chamberlain took too long climbing to the top rope and gave Gangrel time to evade the flying headbutt.

Sensing a momentum shift, the fans began to clap in support of Gangrel as he hit a side Russian Leg Sweep and back to back elbow drops. Gangrel climbed to the top rope, but also took too long and was caught. Chamberlain slammed Gangrel up and tried to climb back up to the top once more. This time, Gangrel jumped up and punched him off and down to the mat.

The Impailer puts away Alex Chamberlain

Frustrated, Chamberlain rolled out of the ring and walked back up the entry way. He grabbed one of the beer kegs near the ramp. He returned to the ring and tried to position the keg between the top and middle turnbuckles. Referee Amy Veronica tried to stop him, but could not.

As Amy Vernoica tried to remove the keg from between the turnbuckles, Alex Chamberlain looked to whip Gangrel into that corner. Amy Veronica moved and Gangrel hit the brakes. Chamberlain charged behind Gangrel and slammed into the keg when Gangrel moved out of the way. From there, Gangrel hit the Impailer and Alex Chamberlain’s night was over.

WINNER: GANGREL
