Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 98 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at Patriot Games 2 from the MidFlorida Events Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida on June 25, 2022. Here is what happened:
In the lead up to their epic title clash at Bash at the Brew 19, the opening segment of this week’s episode showed CCW Women’s Champion, Kilynn King entering the CCW training facility and having her title belt stolen by Jessie Elaban while in a meeting in one of the offices. Elaban posted photos of herself with the belt on social media and disappeared before King could retaliate against Elaban.
MATCH #1
JESSIE ELABAN vs. TRACY NYXX
Elaban appeared to be looking past her opponent on this night, Tracy Nyxx, to her battle with Kilynn King and it showed. Nyxx slammed Elaban’s head into various turnbuckles, then multiple times into Nyxx’s boot on the top turnbuckle. Elaban fled to the ringside area, but Nyxx followed and slammed her head into the ring apron on multiple sides. Finally, Elaban was able to block the last attempt, pushed Nyxx into the ring post and made her way back into the ring.
Jessie Elaban took control of the match inside the ring. Elaban stomped on Nyxx’s back and stepped on her head as Nyxx tried to crawl to safety. When Nyxx made it to the ropes, Elaban used a bow and arrow move through the ropes to stretch Nyxx and dropped her with a forearm to the back. Nyxx would surprise Elaban with a small package, but could not get the pinfall.
Elaban escaped several subsequent roll up attempts and used a shoulder tackle off the ropes to stop Nyxx’s momentum once again. However, it was all for naught. Elaban regained control quickly and held Nyxx on the mat for several seconds in a modified surfboard with Nyxx’s arms crossed in front of her neck.
Later, Nyxx was able to evade a charging Elaban in one corner, hit two dropkicks and a clothesline to set up a top rope a cross body. When then garnered just a two count. Nyxx tried to climb up to the top once more. This time, Elaban caught Nyxx on the apron, and quickly hit a snap mare to set up her finisher.
WINNER: JESSIE ELABAN
MATCH #2
OZZY KILMEISTER vs. BRIAN BROCK
We returned from commercial just in time to see Brian Brock attack Ozzy Kilmeister before the bell could ring and snap mare Ozzy with Brock’s shirt. Ozzy would go up and over to counter a charging Brock in the corner and hit several forearms and shoulder tackles, but the big man would not fall. As Kilmeister charged again, Brock sidestepped and sent Ozzy to the floor. On the outside, as Lew Spectre loudly asked, “Where’s Gangrel?” Brock picked up a cow bell, but missed Ozzy and hit the ring post instead.
Brock pulled Ozzy back inside the ring with a facelock and dominated the middle stages of the match. Kilmeister was able to escape a chin lock submission on the mat and land several rib shots to Brock. However, Brian reversed a belly to back suplex into a cross body for a two count. Brock continued his onslaught with a body slam, knee drop, and stomps before pulling down his knee pad to do even more damage.
Brock took too long, however, and telegraphed the move, giving Ozzy time to regroup. Kilmeister evaded Brock’s punches as the two men rose to their feet and came off the ropes with a big kick to the face. On fire, Kilmeister hit a splash in one corner, followed by an elbow and a belly to back suplex, then climbed to the top rope. With the referee’s back turned, Lew Spectre climbed up onto the apron and held Kilmeister’s foot momentarily. This gave Brock enough time to avoid the Kilmeister Swanton Bomb, hit a lariat and take home the victory.
WINNER: BRIAN BROCK
