TV Review – CCW Alive Episode 99

Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 99 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at Patriot Games 2 from the MidFlorida Events Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida on June 25, 2022. Here is what happened:

MATCH #1
ARIEL LEVY & ALAN “S2S” MARTINEZ vs. CHA CHA CHARLIE & ??????

Ariel Levy knocks Cha Cha Charlie from the top rope

As Ariel Levy made his way to the ring, he told Bill Alfonso to know his role on commentary and not get involved in the match. At the same time, it was announced, the Cha Cha Charlie’s partner for this tag team match, Rich Swann, was unable to travel to the event, seemingly leaving Cha Cha Charlie to face a handicap match. However, after the commercial, Jackal Stevens came out and offered to be Charlie’s partner.

Stevens must have immediately regretted his decision as Levy and Martinez dominated Jackal in the ring as a helpless Cha Cha Charlie watched from the apron. The bad guys trapped Stevens in their corner and tagged in and out hitting alternating double knees and running forearms, then draped Stevens neck on the rope, stood on his back, and came off the ropes with double knees to Stevens’ back to choke him even more.

Martinez went for the ankle lock submission early, but Stevens managed to escape and looked for the hot tag. However, Ariel Levy saw it coming and knocked Cha Cha Charlie off the apron to prevent the tag. A bolstered Martinez went back to work with several kicks to Stevens’ face and a standing Spanish Fly that left both men down on the mat. As Stevens crawled to his corner, Levy ran around the ring and pulled Charlie off of the apron, again preventing Stevens from tagging out.

Cha Cha Charlie puts on his hat, hits the Mangu Splash, and gets the win

Levy moved Stevens back into his corner and looked for running double knees, but Stevens caught him in mid-air and reversed into a standing Texas Cloverleaf. Levy made it to the ropes to force a break and Martinez kicked Stevens in the head from the apron. When Levy re-entered the ring, he hit a chop to Stevens and a German Suplex, but missed on the charge in the corner. Stevens quickly jumped to the second rope and stunned Levy with a bulldog.

This time, nothing would prevent the tag and Cha Cha Charlie entered the match like a ball of fire. Charlie hit Levy with a clothesline, then caught Alan Martinez mid-air on a cross body attempt and reversed into a fall away slam. Soon all four men were in the ring as Stevens hit a spinebuster to Martinez and the good guys dropped tandem elbows on Levy and Martinez.

Stevens body slammed Martinez and Charlie climbed to the top rope for the Mangu splash. Levy managed to get on his feet and push Cha Cha Charlie from the top rope to the ringside area. Levy and Martinez went back to work on Stevens and set up a top rope superplex, but Cha Cha Charlie slid into the ring and knocked Levy and Martinez off the top rope. Stevens hit a Blockbuster off the top rope, tagged Charlie and watched the CCW Champion put on his hat and took home the victory with the Mangu Splash.

WINNERS: CHA CHA CHARLIE & JACKAL STEVENS
