Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 100 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. In this special 90 minute episode, we look back at ten of the best matches in the history of CCW Alive TV:
MATCH #1
EPISODE 1.08
SABU vs. ALEX OCEAN
By the time we picked up this death match in progress, the ring was already scattered with various instruments of destruction. Sabu threw a chair at Ocean and knocked him to the mat, then grabbed another chair and used it with the leg drop. Sabu went to the outside for a table, but took too long getting back in the ring. This allowed Ocean to hit a DDT onto the flat table as Sabu attempted to re-enter.
Sabu would regroup and threw another chair at Ocean, then laid him on the table and hit a top rope splash. Surprisingly, this resulted in only a two count. However, Sabu quickly grabbed another chair for another leg drop and took home the victory. After the match, Sabu raised Ocean’s hand in a sign of respect for a hard-fought contest.
WINNER: SABU
MATCH #2
EPISODE 1.09
MARINA TUCKER vs. KAMILLE
This match started with what appeared to be a show of good sportsmanship. Instead, Marina Tucker faked the handshake and pie-faced Kamille. Enraged, The Brickhouse speared Tucker into the corner three times, kicked her in the gut, and hit a gut wrench suplex that sent Tucker out to the floor to regroup.
Later, Kamille escaped Tucker’s single leg crab, then used an arm whip, powerslam, and swinging neck breaker to regain control. Tucker fell into the corner after an exchange of forearms, and moved out of the way as Kamille charged. The referee, who was checking on Tucker, got caught in the splash and doubled over in one corner. Sensing an opportunity, Tucker used the old Eddie Guerrero trick. She placed the title belt in Kamille’s hands and fell to the mat like she had been hit. The referee turned around, found Kamille with the belt, and called for the disqualification.
WINNER BY DQ: MARINA TUCKER
MATCH #3
EPISODE 1.22
THE COLONS vs. SOUTH AMERICAN ALLIANCE
We joined this match late in the contest. Vinicious would break up a pin attempt and get a backstabber from Eddie Colon for his trouble. With a two on one advantage, Eddie grabbed an apple for Carlito and held Levy’s arms. As Caribbean Cool looked to the crowd for approval, Levy hit a low blow and rolled out of the way.
Unaware, Carlito turned and spit apple chunks in his partners face. Blinded by the apple, Eddie hit mistakenly hit Carlito with a backstabber. Levy followed with a codebreaker, giving South American Alliance the win and the CCW tag team titles.
WINNERS: SOUTH AMERICAN ALLIANCE
MATCH #4
EPISODE 1.29
ROMA vs. CHRISTI JAYNES
Roma moved out of the way of a charging Christi Jaynes and hit a back stabber and two short arm clothesline to pick up the near fall. Jaynes would counter with an STO-type takedown and a knee lift to set up the bow and arrow. Somehow, Roma managed to reverse into a bow and arrow of her own.
Jaynes used a jawbreaker to break free of the hold, hit a superkick, and climbed to the top rope. Roma met her up there soon after and superplexed Jaynes back down to the mat. Now with momentum, Roma went for a hurricanrana off the ropes, but Jaynes somehow reversed into a tombstone piledriver. When that failed to earn Jaynes the victory, The Brazilian Wonderwoman hit an upper cut palm strike, then lifted Roma into a fireman’s carry for her finisher.
WINNER: CHRISTI JAYNES
MATCH #5
EPISODE 1.43
BRIAN CAGE vs. FACADE
On the outside of the ring, Cage threw Facade over the guardrail and hit several chops to Facade who had fallen into a ringside seat. Cage gorilla pressed his opponent back up and over the guardrail and then threw him back into the ring.
Later, Facade managed to take control and climb to the top rope. From there Facade did an amazing tight rope walk which ended with coast to coast dropkick that had the fans chanting, “Holy shit!! Holy shit!!” Cage rolled out of the ring, only to get nailed with a step-up, springboad tope con hilo.
Facade threw Cage back into the ring and again climbed to the top for an incredible Neon Ninja 450º splash, but still could not get the pinfall. Overconfident, Facade climbed back up to the top rope. This time, however, Cage caught Facade mid-air and converted into a Drill Claw to pick up the win.
WINNER: BRIAN CAGE
MATCH #6
EPISODE 1.69
QT MARSHALL vs. JACKAL STEVENS
After Jackal Stevens managed to reverse a QT Marshall cutter into an Olympic Slam, Lew Spectre jumped up onto the apron to argue with the referee. Marshall took advantage of the distraction with a low blow to Jackal Stevens followed by a cutter for the victory and the CCW Southeastern Championship.
Moments later however, the referee was notified of the low blow and ordered the match to be restarted. Marshall returned to the ring under protest, but Stevens was ready. A springboard kick dropped Marshall, but left Stevens holding his knee. Spectre again jumped up onto the apron. This time, however, it was Stevens who used the distraction to his advantage.
Stevens clobbered Marshall with the title belt and went for the pin. Spectre ran in, broke up the pin, and caused a disqualification. Furious, Marshall attacked Stevens after the bell. Fortunately, the South American Alliance ran in to make the save and chased off Marshall and Spectre.
WINNER BY DQ: JACKAL STEVENS
MATCH #7
EPISODE 1.72
CHA CHA CHARLIE vs. EL JEFE SANTOS
At Bash at the Brew 11, Cha Cha Charlie finally got his shot at the CCW Heavyweight title and the crowd was firmly behind the challenger. Cha Cha struggled early and found himself being kicked out of the ring by Santos, then attacked by the champion on the floor. Cha Cha managed to duck a chop from Santos, then dropped Santos on the guardrail and drilled him with a knee strike from the apron.
Inside the ring, Cha Cha Charlie seemed to have the match in hand after a sling blade and a Mangu Splash, but Lew Spectre pulled the referee out of the ring before he could make the three count. With the referee down, Charlie clocked Spectre as El Jefe tried to leave with the belt. Charlie went out to the ramp, grabbed Santos and threw him back in the ring.
Santos capitalized on Cha Cha Charlie’s slow return to the ring and hit the challenger with a running knee in the corner. Santos tried for a top rope splash but took too long and missed the mark. Charlie immediately rose to his feet, lifted Santos in a fireman’s carry which he converted into a Death Valley Driver. With victory just seconds away, Charlie took to the top rope, confidently placed his hat on his head, and hit the Mangu Splash just as the referee came to.
WINNER: CHA CHA CHARLIE
MATCH #8
EPISODE 1.86
FUEGO DEL SOL vs. ALAN “S2S” MARTINEZ
Late in this match, Alan Martinez whipped Fuego del Sol into the corner. Fuego put the brakes on just before he collided with the referee who was standing in that corner. Fuego turned around just in time to evade a Martinez dropkick. However, the referee was not so lucky.
Fuego del Sol hit his Tornado DDT, but there was no ref to count the pin. Alan Martinez hit Fuego with a low blow, but still no ref to count. Martinez went over and tried to wake the referee. As he did, Fuego hit the Tornado DDT and converted it into a bridge chin lock submission.
The champion tapped as the referee woke up and called for the bell. However, it was announced the the referee had disqualified Alan Martinez for the dropkick that knocked him out rather than the Fuego submission. As such, Martinez retained the Cruiserweight Championship yet again.
WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: FUEGO DEL SOL
MATCH #9
EPISODE 1.87
KILYNN KING vs. MARINA TUCKER

As soon as the bell sounded, Marina Tucker headed straight for one corner and tried to scale the cage to escape. King climbed up with her and bulldogged the challenger back down to the mat. Tucker would rebound soon after and used a chicken wing hold to throw the champion up and over head first into the turnbuckle from which Tucker had removed the pad.
Later, with both competitors on the top rope, King knocked Tucker down with a headbutt, but missed the subsequent frog splash. Marina Tucker immediately climbed up herself and connected with a beautiful moonsault, but could not get the pinfall.
As the match wound down, King and Tucker alternated forearms, upper cuts, and face rakes across the cage. Eventually, they would both end up back on the top rope. As Tucker attempted to tightrope walk from one corner to the other, King hit her with a superkick. Amazingly, Tucker maintained her balance on the top rope after the kick, but had no defense for King’s Super Choke Slam.
WINNER: KILYNN KING
MATCH #10
EPISODE 1.91
GANGREL vs. JACOB FATU

The moment Jacob Fatu came through the curtain, Gangrel attacked and the pair brawled on the outside for several minutes. After some back and forth, Gangrel threw Fatu into the ring and grabbed a chair. Fatu attempted a tope suicida, but Gangrel threw the steel chair at Fatu’s face. Gangrel called for the Impailer DDT, but Fatu slipped out, rolled out of the ring, and threw a chair at Gangrel’s head.
Eventually, Fatu and Gangrel left the ringside area and brawled around the back of the room. Gangrel pummeled Fatu with trash cans, rammed his head into a table, and used a chair to choke Fatu. Jacob charged, but Gangrel used a back body drop to send Fatu crashing through another table. As Gangrel threw the broken table on top of Fatu, the fans began chanting, “We want blood! We want blood!”
Back in the ring, Fatu reversed an Impailer DDT attempt into a Samoan drop. However, he missed on the triple-jump moonsault. At that moment, Brian Brock ran in and attacked Gangrel. Brock tried to hit Gangrel with a trash can, but hit Fatu instead. Gangrel threw Brock out of the ring, hit a Canadian Destroyer followed by the Impailer DDT, and got the win.
