TV Review – CCW Alive Episode 105

Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 105 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 19 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on August 6, 2022. Here is what happened:

MATCH #1
CHA CHA CHARLIE vs. ARIEL LEVY (c)
CCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – HIALEAH STREET FIGHT

This much anticipated rematch, for the CCW Heavyweight Championship that Cha Cha Charlie lost to Ariel Levy on episode 99, was a Hialeah Street Fight and it did not take long for the brutality to escalate. Charlie attacked Levy before the bell with a running leg lariat and a leg drop that sent Ariel Levy outside to regroup. As Charlie climbed to the top rope, Levy took off through the crowd to steer clear of whatever Charlie had planned.

The action picked up in the back of the venue, near the merch tables. Levy grabbed a shirt from the table and choked Charlie with it. As Charlie retaliated, he accidentally knocked the beer from the hands of A.J. Francis (now known as WWE’s Top Dolla), who was in the building signing autographs for fans.

Back inside the ring after commercial, the challenger was already bleeding from the face and the champion looked to make it worse. After a codebreaker, Levy went outside the ring to grab the same brass knuckles that helped him win the championship in the first place. Luckily, Levy missed and the knucks ended up in the hands of Cha Cha Charlie who leveled the champion with one punch.

When the champion made it to his feet, Charlie hit an Olympic Slam, grabbed his hat and climbed to the top rope. The match appeared to be over when Charlie hit the Mangu Splash, but on the count of two, Alan S2S Martinez ran in and broke up the pin. Once Levy realized what had happened, he and Martinez double teamed Charlie. Cha Cha managed to even the score when he reversed Martinez into a spinebuster into a door set up in the corner.

As a result of Charlie’s attack, Martinez rolled outside the ring. Charlie hit Levy with a clothesline, suplex and elbow drop, but could only manage a two count. Charlie threw the broken door outside the ring and grabbed a new unbroken one to set up in the same corner. Charlie took too long setting everything up, which gave Levy the chance to crawl over and hit a low blow on Charlie. Levy pummeled Charlie with chair shots, then grabbed Charlie’s hat and climbed to the top rope.

Levy also took too long getting up to the top, which gave Charlie the chance to grab the chair and throw it in Levy’s face when Levy jumped from the top rope. Charlie quickly went out and grabbed a ladder to set up inside the ring. As Charlie climbed the ladder, however, A.J. Francis decided to climb in the ring to confront Charlie about their earlier exchange. Francis caught a jumping Charlie in mid-air and power bombed him into the door. Levy rolled over on top of Charlie for the easy pin.

WINNER: ARIEL LEVY
