Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 108 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 19 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on August 6, 2022. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
DAN LAMBERT vs. BILL ALFONSO
America’s Top Team’s Dan Lambert came to the ring and revisited some harsh comments he made previously about the city of Hialeah, but did not apologize for them. In fact, Lambert said that the only reason he came back to “this shithole” was that he got in trouble with the law and was forced to do community service. He topped off this vitriolic tirade, by telling the citizens of Hialeah, in Spanish, to “Eat shit, morons.”
At that point, Bill Alfonso had heard enough. He came to the ring and said Lambert needed someone to come out and kick his ass. Lambert invited Fonzie into the ring, but reminded Alfonso that he is a licensed attorney, “and I’ll sue you if you touch me.”
For some reason, Alfonso turned around and Lambert struck him in the back of the head. Lambert put Fonzie in the Tree of Woe, laid a chair in front of Alfonso, and drop kicked it. As Lambert posed for the camera, Alfonso crawled over and hit a low blow to Lambert that brought all of the referees out from the back.
RESULT: NO CONTEST
MATCH #2
ROMA vs. MILA MOORE
After the entrances, we jumped ahead in this match to find Mila Moore in firm control. At one point, Moore pressed her knee into Roma’s back with Roma’s neck on the ropes, then put her boot on Roma’s neck from a standing position in one corner. Roma would later fight out of a Mila Moore Cobra Clutch, only to be leveled by a clothesline and she tried to rise.
Eventually, Roma would mount a rally with two consecutive clotheslines, a kick to the stomach and a butterfly suplex, but could not secure the pinfall. Facing adversity for the first time in the match, Moore rolled outside the ring to regroup. Roma followed and chased her around the ring. As soon as both women returned to the ring, Roma attempted a fisherman’s suplex. Mila Moore reversed the suplex attempt into a small package and held Roma’s tights to get the pin.
WINNER: MILA MOORE
MATCH #3
CCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERSHIP BATTLE ROYAL
The final match of the evening was a battle royal to determine a new number one contender to the CCW Heavyweight Championship. The participants included: Big English, Chris Farrow, Elliott Qrow, Nick Turner, Rico De La Vega, Ozzy Kilmeister, Ricky Fisher, and Ricky Martinez. When we joined the match in progress, Chris Farrow found himself the odd man out in a three on three show off in the center of the ring, Farrow ducked as the six men attacked each other, then climbed to the top rope. As Farrow tried a moonsault onto all six men, the seas parted and Farrow landed on his stomach.
As the other six men went back to fighting each other, Big English climbed to the top rope from the outside and managed to hit all six men with a Flying V. Everyone scattered except Farrow who tried a springboard cross body on Big English. The Bus caught him mid air and threw him out for the elimination. From there, Big English was on a roll, quickly eliminating Qrow, Turner, De La Vega, and Kilmeister in quick succession.
With it down to Ricky Fisher, Ricky Martinez, and Big English, Fisher and Martinez faced off and quickly attempted multiple roll ups and cradles to sneak a victory, but not were successful. Big English came over to assist and put Fisher into backbreaker position for Martinez to come off the top rope with a leg drop. Martinez quickly climbed right back to the top rope, then onto Big English’s shoulders for the high-altitude splash. However, when Martinez hit the splash, Big English threw him aside and pinned Fisher to become the new number one contender.
WINNER: BIG ENGLISH
