Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 114 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 21 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on October 1, 2022. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
BILL ALFONSO vs. DAN LAMBERT
NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH
The feud between America’s Top Team’s Dan Lambert and Bill “Fonzie” Alfonso has been escalating for months. Back on CCW Alive episode 108 a match between the two men resulted in a no contest when a brutal brawl ensued before the match officially started. The following week on episode 109, Alfonso confronted Lambert during a promo, only to be attacked by Jack Talos. On this night, at Bash at the Brew 21, Lambert would get his shot at Lambert in a No DQ match.
As a mainstay in the old ECW, Alfonso was very familiar with hardcore, no disqualification matches. Alfonso came prepared, bringing several weapons to the ring with him. Lambert laughed and asked, “Do you think those things will help you?” Lambert said a sixty year old man had no chance against a jiu-jitsu champion.
One would think Lambert might set the microphone down and focus on the match at some point, but he never did. Even as he maintained firm control of most of the match, Lambert held onto the microphone to both taunt Alfonso and ask him to submit to a variety of submission holds. Lambert was eager to show the fans his prowess in the martial arts, but became increasingly frustrated when Alfonso refused to submit to any of the holds.
Eventually, Alfonso managed to turn the tide when he evaded a charging Lambert in one corner and slid outside the ring. Alfonso threw several wooden chairs, then several more steel chairs, into the ring. Unfortunately, Ariel Levy and Alan S2S Martinez ran in and attacked Alfonso before he could mount any offense.
As it appeared Alfonso’s night was winding down, Vinicious, who has been absent from CCW since being betrayed by Ariel Levy several months ago, returned to a furious crowd roar and ran in to even the score. When Levy and Martinez took off for higher ground, Vinicious hit an urunage to Lambert and placed Alfonso on top for the easy pin.
