Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 117 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 22 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on November 5, 2022. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
NICOLTH LUCERO vs. TRACY NYXX
Nicolth Lucero’s first opponent after returning from a three year CCW absence, Tracy Nyxx, went on the offense early and dominated the majority of this match. Nyxx used a hair pull to set up a series of knee strikes and knee drops, then nearly got disqualified for choking Lucero on the middle rope.
After Nyxx hit a double underhook suplex, Lucero fell into one corner, but managed to move just in time to avoid a charging Nyxx. Lucero followed with two running clotheslines and a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall, then hit a beautiful sit out power bomb to take home the victory.
WINNER: NICOLTH LUCERO
MATCH #2
GANGREL vs. ABBAD
In this grudge match, it was Gangrel who went on the offensive immediately. using a cross body, boot to the face and two corkscrew elbows to set up a near fall. However, Resident Scumbag Xander Frost grabbed Gangrel’s foot as he came off the ropes, which gave Abbad the opportunity he needed to take control.
The action spilled outside the ring with Abbad choking The Vampire Warrior briefly, then distracting the referee so Xander could do the same. Inside the ring, Gangrel tried several times to mount some type of offense, but Abbad kept going back to a rear choke on the mat to slowly drain the life out of Gangrel.
Gangrel continued to battle and, eventually, got an elbow up before a charging Abbad could hit a splash, Gangrel went for a bulldog, but Abbad hit the brakes and sent Gangrel flying across the ring. Abbad climbed to the top rope, but Gangrel met him up there and superplexed him back down.
Gangrel hit his second bulldog attempt and went for the impailer. Abbad reversed and Xander held Gangrel’s arms as Abbad charged. Gangrel moved out of the way which caused a collision between Xander and Abbad, Gangrel followed with an Impailer DDT for the win.
WINNER: GANGREL
