Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 119 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 22 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on November 5, 2022. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
KILYNN KING vs. KELSEY REAGAN
It is still weird to see Kilynn King in CCW without that CCW Women’s Championship around her waist. Certainly, Marina Tucker will have to face the Mother F’N King for that title again soon, but tonight, King’s opponent was the dangerous Kelsey Reagan.
King took control of this match after she lifted a charging Reagan up and over onto the apron and nailed her with a punch to the face. When Reagan fell to the floor, King followed with a basement dropkick through the bottom ropes and hung outside the ring long enough to hit some nasty chops to Reagan’s chest on the guardrail.
Back inside the ring, King would take too long executing a running double knee strike which allowed Reagan to slip out of the way, hit a knee strike to the back, headbutt King into the turnbuckle, then land a reverse neckbreaker from King’s position on the second rope. Now in control, Reagan choked King with the middle rope, then used a standing boot to King’s throat until the referee called for a break.
King would go back to the boot choke momentarily, then hit a running kick to King’s face from the opposite corner. When that garnered just a two count, Reagan locked King in a mat submission that looked like Rings of Saturn with a leg scissors. King managed to roll onto her back to put Reagan’s shoulders down on the mat to force a break, then immediately trapped Reagan in a modified figure four leg lock.
Before the final commercial break, King released the figure four, nailed Reagan with a kidney punch, and hit a missile dropkick from the second rope that left both women on the mat exhausted. When we returned from break, King stayed on the offense with a series of clotheslines, palm strikes and a backward avalanche splash.
King nearly got the pin with an Attitude Adjustment, but could not follow through with a Dragon Suplex. Reagan blocked the move and hit an ensiguri, but King countered with the Excalibuster. Luckily for Reagan, she was able to reverse that into a backstabber to stay alive in the match.
Reagan climbed to the top rope, but missed what looked to be a Coup de Gras. King lifted Reagan into a suplex, but Reagan surprised everyone when she reversed that into a Guillotine Choke. Somehow, the powerful King broke the hold, lifted Reagan up and executed the suplex. King tried to go back to the Attitude Adjustment, but Reagan escaped with a a roll up. What looked like a possible powerbomb by Reagan was then reversed by King, who followed with a back body drop, kick to the face, and the Excalibuster for the hard fought victory.
WINNER: KILYNN KING
