Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 120 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 22 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on November 5, 2022. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
ARIEL LEVY (c) vs. RICKY MARTINEZ
CCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Special referee for this match, Kevin Sullivan, entered first and cut a promo that let the fans know he was rooting for the challenger, Ricky Martinez, to win this CCW Championship match. For much of the contest, it looked like Sullivan was going to use his power to help Martinez do just that.
The action spilled outside the ring fairly quickly with Martinez in control until Alan S2S Martinez distracted Ricky long enough for Ariel Levy to ambush the challenger and push him into the guardrail. Levy rolled Martinez back inside the ring, but Sullivan passive-aggressively blocked Levy from getting back in the ring. Instead, Levy hit a reverse neck breaker to Martinez across the second rope followed by a leg drop with Martinez’ neck still draped. Levy attempted a pin, but Sullivan refused to count.
Frustrated, Levy hit a chop, Irish Whip to one corner with a charging double knees, a Meteora, AND a Northern Lights suplex. Again, Sullivan refused to count the pin attempt by the champion. Martinez made it to his feet and flipped Levy the bird. Levy responded with a basement drop kick and an ensiguri. Another pin attempt by Levy. Another refusal to count by Sullivan.
Martinez would mount a rally after punching his way out of a cross face submission. Martinez hit a codebreaker that left both men down and crawled over to attempt the pin. Suspiciously, Sullivan took his time getting down to make the count for Martinez and positioned himself right in front of Alan S2S Martinez who grabbed Sullivan’s leg to stop the count.
In the chaos, Levy went for his famous brass knuckles, but Sullivan caught him and took the weapon away before Levy could use it. Levy spit in Sullivan’s face which prompted Sullivan to wind up to hit Levy. The savvy champion ducked Sullivan’s punch which connected with Ricky Martinez. Levy laid on top of Martinez as Sullivan made the quick count. The fans looked on in stunned silence trying to figure out what had just happened.
