Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 121 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at Breaking Chains from the MidFlorida Event Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida on December 17, 2022. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
MARINA TUCKER (c) vs. ROCKY RADLEY
CCW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Rocky Radley started this match like a ball of fire with a hurricanrana, STO and running knee that nearly ended the match in seconds. Tucker managed to collect herself in one corner, played possum by begging off as Radley approached, then threw her face first into the turnbuckle. Tucker nearly got a quick fall after she choked Radley with the second rope and followed with a back drop.
Later, Radley would barely kick out after Marina Tucker hit a Gory Buster into the turnbuckle, but managed to reverse a Tucker strike into a German suplex followed by a sliding German suplex. Radley tried for a third German suplex on the apron, but Tucker reversed into a spinning suplex of her own that left both women down on the outside.
Back inside the ring, the competitors exchanged near falls after a Radley reverse neckbreaker and a Tucker DDT. Radley attempted a strike off the ropes, but Tucker hit her with a back elbow. Tucker tried a strike off the ropes, but Radley countered with a knee strike. As both recoiled, Tucker hit a sudden superkick followed by a somersault driver for the win.
WINNER: MARINA TUCKER
MATCH #2
ERA vs. ANTHONY CATENA
Anthony Catena attempted to address the crowd, but could not get the microphone to work. Instead, he ambushed ERA and rested on the turnbuckles to taunt both ERA and the fans. As Catena continued on offense, he turned to the fans and strutted around the ring. This confidence lulled Catena into a false sense of security, though, and he got caught with a hurricanrana. Catena rolled to the outside and got drop kicked by ERA when he tried to re-enter.
Back inside the ring. Catena managed to evade a top rope attack from ERA, then moved as ERA attempted a spear. Catena capitalized with a Vertebreaker and went back to taunting the fans. Catena jumped over the top rope and snapped ERA’s arm across it, but argued with fans at ringside instead of staying on ERA. Inside the ring, Catena hit a hammerlock slam, then rested on the top turnbuckle in celebration. When he leapt off, however, ERA got a boot up in Catena’s face.
Catena charged, but ERA lifted him up and over onto the apron. Catena jumped to the second rope, but ERA dropkicked him off. Catena reversed an Irish Whip, but ERA jumped onto the second rope and countered with a flying forearm. Catena created some space with an ensiguri, then climbed to the top rope. ERA moved out of the way of a flying Catena, hit a superkick, and followed with a massive running elbow to put Anthony Catena away.
WINNER: ERA
