Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 132 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at CCW Game of War from the MidFlorida Event Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida on February 18, 2023. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
CHA CHA CHARLIE, VINICIOUS, GANGREL & JACKAL STEVENS vs. ALEX CHAMBERLAIN, DAMIAN FENRIR, ARIEL LEVY & METO
GAME OF WAR MATCH
The Game of War is a modified version of the popular Wargames match which takes place in two rings, surrounded by a steel cage. The match begins with two participants in the ring, with a new competitor entering periodically until all eight men, four on each team, are in the ring. At that point, the Game of War officially begins.
Ariel Levy and Jackal Stevens were the first two competitors in the match. Levy started off strong, delivering kicks and chops to Stevens in the corner, but Stevens fought back with knee strikes and threw Levy face-first into the cage. Stevens continued with a top rope Thesz press, followed by finger manipulation, and a suplex, before biting Levy’s face.
The next entrant, Damian Fenrir, entered the fray and immediately faced off against Stevens. Fenrir delivered shoulder blocks in the corner then teamed up with Ariel to execute a double whip into a double backdrop on Stevens. Levy hit a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a Meteora to Stevens, then choked him while Fenrir stomped on him, and they celebrated their success with a high-five.
Gangrel is the third entrant. He spit in Fenrir’s face before entering and delivered a Dusty elbow and a belly-to-belly suplex to Fenrir plus a powerslam to Ariel Levy once he did. At this point, Gangrel and Stevens teamed up. The Vampire Warrior whipped Stevens into Fenrir, then into Levy, before Stevens and Gangrel whipped Levy and Fenrir into one another. Gangrel and Stevens hit simultaneous back suplexes, then paired off in separate rings.
Alex Chamberlain entered the match next and immediately went for Gangrel, throwing his face into the cage and stomping on him, then raking his face across the steel even more. The fifth entrant, Cha Cha Charlie, brought a kendo stick to the ring and took on all the bad guys untill Chamberlain eventually took it and did some damage to both Charlie and Jackal Stevens. Meto entered next and first faced off against Cha Cha Charlie, delivering a bicycle kick in one ring, followed by a Superman punch to Jackal Stevens in the other.
The sides became even for the last time when Vinicious entered and all participants were finally in the ring. Vinicious went right for Ariel Levy, while, at the same time, Allan S2S Martinez climbed to the top of the cage and executed a moonsault onto Vinicious, even though Martinez was not part of the match. Since the match is no disqualification, Martinez stayed in the ring, creating a disadvantage. Bill Alfonso ran in to help the good guys but ended up getting beaten and bloodied by Alex Chamberlain.
With Alfonso neutralized, Meto set a chair up in front of Vinicious and Chamberlain set one up in front of Gangrel. Both Levy and Martinez climbed to the top rope and executed simultaneous coast-to-coast dropkicks into the chairs, which started the fans chanting “Holy shit!” Later, Fenrir climbed the ropes and appeared to be trying to escape, but Stevens climbed up with him. Cha Cha climbed up to help Stevens, and Chamberlain followed. Vinicious noticed the commotion, went over, and power bombed everyone down to the mat.
As the match wound down, Allan ‘S2S’ Martinez accidentally hit Ariel with a steel chair. Gangrel took the chair from Martinez and hit Levy with it, as well. From there, Gangrel hit Ariel with the Impailer DDT onto the steel chair, then locked Levy in a crossface which forced Levy to submit.
WINNER: CHA CHA CHARLIE, VINICIOUS, GANGREL & JACKAL STEVENS
