Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 133 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 26 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on March 4, 2023. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
CHA CHA CHARLIE vs. JAMES TAPIA
Cha Cha Charlie got off to a quick start before James Tapia rolled outside, then pulled Charlie outside with him. Cha Cha nailed several chops on the outside, but took too long rolling back into the ring. Tapia rolled in first and attacked Charlie on the apron, then went to work on Charlie’s injured knee. Tapia wrapped Charlie’s leg around the ring post and wrenched it, then took the wrap off of Charlie’s knee and choked him with it.
Charlie tried to mount a rally several times, but, each time, Tapia would target the knee and thwart Charlie’s attempts at offense. Tapia used Charlie’s knee bandage as leverage on a submission and pulled Charlie back to the center whenever Cha Cha got close to reaching the ropes. Brimming with confidence, Tapia went over to the corner, grabbed Charlie’s hat and stomped on it. With the ire of the crowd enveloping him, Tapia strutted to the other corner and put his own Stetson on his head.
At that point, Charlie had had enough, he began pummeling Tapia with punches, but once again, Tapia targeted the knee to regain control and followed with an inverted DDT and a spinning DDT. When neither move resulted in a three-count, Tapia set Charlie on the top turnbuckle and climbed up with him. Charlie blocked a superplex and reversed into a fisherman’s neck breaker which left both men down. Tapia was up first and went for a suplex. Charlie blocked the suplex, and reversed into a brainbuster for the win.
WINNER: CHA CHA CHARLIE
MATCH #1
KILYNN KING vs. J.C. STORM
Just like the first match, the action spilled outside quickly in this contest. J.C. Storm escaped to try to withstand a barrage of offense from The Mother F’n King, but King followed her outside. King hit a series of chops, some of which were fan-assisted, then threw Storm back inside. As King re-entered, Storm tried to roll back out. King caught her and dragged her to the center of the ring, then climbed to the second rope. Quickly, though, Storm jumped up and nailed King with a punch that sent Kilynn tumbling to the floor.
When King tried to return to the ring, Storm hit a drop toe hold that left King draped over the bottom rope, then jumped out to the apron for a running punt kick. King escaped a fireman’s carry and whipped Storm into the ropes, but Storm reversed a side slam into a hurricanrana into an arm bar converted into a cross face.
Storm released the hold and climbed to the top rope, but King met her up there and superplexed her back down to the mat. King was up first and hit back-to-back running clotheslines followed by five back elbows in the corner that left Storm looking punch-drunk. Kilynn hit a second rope missile drop kick that garnered a two count and went for a full nelson slam. Storm managed to escape it and hit a DDT before returning to the cross face.
King wriggled out of the cross face after nearly tapping out, then hit a roundhouse kick to set up an inverted cradle facebuster for another near fall. Both women rose simultaneously but Storm slapped King in the face several times, then used a savate kick to set up a Canadian Destroyer which, somehow, did not earn Storm the victory. This time, Storm was up first and charged, but King saw it coming, reversed into an impressive full nelson urunage, and put Storm away for good.
WINNER: KILYNN KING
