Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 145 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Hialeah Heat from the The Yards in Hialeah, Florida on May 13, 2023. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
CHA CHA CHARLIE vs. BRIAN BROCK
Brian Brock attacked Cha Cha Charlie before the bell rang, but Charlie soon recovered and used a dropkick to set up a clothesline over the top rope that sent Brock to the floor. The two competitors brawled on the floor as Lew Spectre tried to distract the referee from Brock’s choking of Cha Cha Charlie on the guardrail.
Later, when the action returned to the ring, Brock got a near fall after a running powerslam, then lifted Charlie up into suplex position and set him on the top turnbuckle. Brock climbed up with Charlie and looked for a superplex, but Charlie fought back and landed a headbutt that sent Brock crashing back to the mat. From there, Charlie put his hat on his head, did a little dance for the crowd, and hit a frog splash for the victory.
WINNER: CHA CHA CHARLIE
MATCH #2
RICKY MARTINEZ vs. METO (c)
CCW SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP
As Meto made his way to the ring, Ricky Martinez got the jump on him. ERA held the ropes for Martinez to hit a tope to the CCW Southeastern Champion, threw Meto back inside the ring and climbed to the top for a cross body. Meto rolled through and lifted Martinez up for a slam, but Martinez reversed into a Victory Roll for a near fall.
Meto was up first and charged, but Martinez countered with a hurricanrana, followed by another from the second rope when Meto blocked a monkey flip. Meto whipped Martinez into the ropes, but Martinez stuck there long enough for Meto to charge. When that happened, Martinez moved and sent Meto crashing back to the floor. Martinez went for another tope suicida, but Meto jumped up and clocked him with an upper cut as Ricky came through the ropes.
After the commercial, it was all Meto as the match slowed down considerably. The champion held an arm bar for a while on the mat as the fans chanted “305!” in support of the challenger. Meto elbowed Martinez in the face repeatedly as Ricky tried to rise, then choked Martinez and followed with a beautiful spine buster for a near fall.
Martinez would start a rally when Meto charged for a spear in the corner, but missed. Martinez connected with a kick to Meto’s head from the mat, then slumped into one corner. Meto charged again, but Martinez got a boot up in Meto’s face and followed with a Satellite DDT after which both men ended up down on the mat.
Meto and Martinez made it to their feet at the same time and began exchanging forearms and upper cuts until Martinez hit a series of savate kicks and a leaping reverse neck breaker. From there, Ricky did his signature move. He wrapped his legs around Meto’s head and pounded Meto’s skull into the mat as the fans counted to ten.
At the same time, Daisy Kill ran in from the dressing room with a steel chair and laid out ERA at ringside. When Martinez saw what happened, he went over to confront Daisy Kill. This took Martinez’ attention away from his opponent just long enough. When Martinez turned back around, Meto nearly split him in half with a spear and made the cover for the win.
WINNER: METO
