Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 156 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Bash at the Brew 31 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on August 5, 2023. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
BLAKE TROOP vs. NICK TURNER
Blake Troop got a takedown early, but Nick Turner reversed it with a triangle choke. Turner tried to lock in the cross arm breaker next, but Troop managed to block Turner from fully locking it in. After Troop reached the ropes to force a break, Turner went right back to the cross arm breaker off of the ensuing lockup.
When Turner released the hold, Troop quickly hit a knee strike to the face of Turner, then jumped on top of him and unloaded with punches until the referee forced a break. As that happened, Lew Spectre attacked Turner from the outside. After the commercial, Turner continued fighting from his back and, at one point, managed to lock Troop in a rear naked choke with body scissors.
Troop regrouped and suddenly reversed the hold into a choke of his own that caused Turner to pass out. After earning the victory, Troop continued to attack Turner until Chris Farrow ran in with a steel chair to even the score. As Troop and Spectre fled to the back, Turner betrayed Farrow with a low blow, then DDTed Farrow on the steel chair.
WINNER: BLAKE TROOP
MATCH #2
LINDSAY SNOW vs. KACI LENNOX
The fast-rising Lindsay Snow took control first with a springboard arm drag, running European upper cut, basement drop kick and suplex. Lennox returned fire with a springboard arm drag of her own, followed by a suplex for a near fall.
Snow used a single leg takedown to set up a knee strike to the face for a near fall, then reversed an Irish Whip and rolled through into a crossface in the center of the ring. Lennox escaped the submission hold, but was quickly choked on the bottom rope by Snow. Snow tried again for a submission with an ankle lock, but Lennox reached the ropes to force a break once more.
Off of the reset, Lennox got her second wind. Kaci hit two clotheslines, a forearm smash, a splash in the corner, and a bulldog for a near fall. Lindsay hit a savate kick and a clothesline for a near fall, then Lennox hit a Flatliner for a near fall of her own. Snow and Lennox exchanged blows as they rose to their feet, then, in an instant, Snow hit a pump handle power bomb to get the win.
WINNER: LINDSAY SNOW
