Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 164 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Destiny Awaits 2023 from the MidFlorida Events Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida on September 22, 2023. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
JESSIE ELABAN vs. MARINA TUCKER (c)
CCW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Jessie Elaban looked to make the most of her championship opportunity when she attacked the CCW Women’s Champion, Marina Tucker, as the bell rang with three consecutive dropkicks, a snap mare and a spinning basement back elbow. After that flurry, Tucker powdered but Elaban followed and the two women brawled around ringside.
Tucker tried to roll back into the ring first, but Elaban pulled Tucker’s hair to try to prevent her from doing so. When Elaban re-entered, Tucker yanked her face-first into the turnbuckle and hit a running knee for a near fall. Tucker continued to pummel Elaban in one corner until Jessie used a double leg takedown and followed with punches to the back of Tucker’s head, At that point, the champion rolled out to ringside once more.
Elaban went for a sliding basement dropkick, but did not get all of it, with referee Amy Veronica partially blocking her path, and stayed outside to brawl with Tucker some more. Tucker turned the tide when she ducked a roundhouse kick from Elaban which caused Jessie to kick the ring post. Tucker immediately targeted the leg, at one point, dropping Elaban’s knee into the ring steps.
Just as I was thinking that both competitors had been out of the ring for way more than a ten count, Tucker tossed Elaban back into the ring and tried three straight covers that garnered just a one count each time. Suddenly Elaban grabbed a small package that nearly ended the match, then quickly hit a body slam, grabbed a top wristlock, abd used the wristlock leverage to force Tucker down to the mat.
After a near fall, Elaban hit a series of low kicks until Tucker caught one, and countered by slamming Elaban’s face into her knee. Elaban somehow returned fire right after with a bicycle kick and a Samoan drop for a near fall that sent Marina Tucker back outside of the ring. Of course, Elaban followed. Jessie grabbed a fireman’s carry, but Tucker wriggled out and pushed Elaban face-first into the post.
With Elaban down, Tucker looked under the ring and grabbed a steel chair. As Tucker let the fans know what she planned to do with the chair, Elaban pulled one of her own from under the ring. When Tucker turned around, they both swung and connected with their respective weapons.
RESULT: DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION
MATCH #2
SKITZ vs. MADMAN FULTON
The diminutive Skitz looked even more so standing next to Madman Fulton. The look on Skitz face made it clear he knew his work was cut out for him against the madman. Skitz tried to scare the Fulton, with predictable results. Fulton’s reaction was to grabb Skitz by the throat and fling him down to the mat.
When Skitz made it to his feet, he appeared to cough out several playing cards. Skitz flung the cards at Fulton as a distraction, then hit a springboard back elbow that actually stunned Fulton. Skitz reversed a whip into the corner with a slide and a double kick to the face, then climbed to the second rope for a cross body.
Fulton caught Skitz in mid-air and started to toss him over the top rope to the floor, but Skitz held on tight and would not let it happen. Fulton tried again on the other side of the ring, same result. Instead, Fulton hit a back breaker and tossed Skitz backwards over his head, then shoved Skitz into the corner.
Fulton charged, but Skitz evaded and rolled Fulton up quickly for a one count. Skitz charged Fulton in the corner, but Fulton reversed into a Black Hole Slam, then slammed Skitz’ head into the mat repeatedly and hit an elbow drop for a near fall. Slowing things down, Fulton hit a release suplex that sent Skitz flying across the ring, then a regular vertical suplex for another near fall.
Fulton signaled for the choke slam, but Skitz escaped and got a few shots in on Fulton before the big man regrouped, grabbed Skitz by the throat and slammed him down to the mat. Fulton made the cover and was stunned when Skitz kicked out at two. Fulton hit another choke slam. Again, Skitz kicked out.
Soon after, Fulton pulled Skitz up to the top rope and looked to hit a super powerbomb. Skitz pulled Fulton’s hair then hit a hurricanrana that sent Fulton crashing back to the mat. Feeling some momentum, Skitz hit several chops and a few punches and seemed poised for a rally. However, Fulton grabbed him by the throat and hit a choke Codebreaker. Skitz kicked out yet again!
At this point, Fulton is looking to the crowd seemingly asking “What the hell do I have to do to put this guy away?” Fulton turned around and Skitz pulled out another playing card. Unimpressed, Fulton hit a power bomb, then another, then a Boston Crab that bent back like a Walls of Jericho. Even then, Skitz did not submit…he passed out.
WINNER: MADMAN FULTON
