Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 166 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at CCW Bash at the Brew 33 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on October 7, 2023. Here is what happened:

ALEX XCEAN vs. JACKAL STEVENS (c)
CCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DEATH MATCH
Alex Xcean kicked off this championship death match by throwing a steel chair at the back of Jackal Stevens’ head during Stevens’ entrance. Xcean hit a curb stomp for a near fall, then went out to ringside to set up a table. Stevens recovered, followed Xcean to the outside, and threw a chair at Xcean’s head.
Jackal flung Alex into the ring steps, then set up a second table next to Xcean’s. Stevens and Xcean climbed to the top rope where Xcean blocked a superplex and punched Stevens back to the mat. Xcean went back outside for more weapons and Stevens followed. They each tossed weapons into the ring from a shopping cart at ringside, but Stevens used one first with a guitar shot to Xcean’s head.
Stevens attempted suplex onto a barbed wire steel chair was blocked by Alex Xcean, but the body slam was not. Moments later, though, Xcean reversed Stevens with a back body drop onto a steel chair, then DDTed the champion onto the guitar. Xcean grabbed a bundle of skewers, stabbed them into the forehead of the champion, the drove them deeper into his face with a super kick.
Xcean grabbed what looked like a gusset plate or a cheese grater from the corner, but Stevens took it and drove it into Xcean’s forehead. Stevens grabbed a ladder and slammed Xcean onto it, then followed with a springboard senton and grabbed a crutch covered in barbed wire. Xcean took the crutch and nailed Stevens in the back with it, then drove the barbs into Stevens forehead.
With both men now bleeding profusely, Xcean dumped a bag of thumbtacks over his head and onto the mat. Before Xcean could utilize the tacks, Stevens launched a pre-emptive strike with a dozen kicks in the corner. However, Xcean would reverse a Stevens whip and back body dropped Stevens onto the tacks for a near fall.
After the commercial, Xcean’s attempt to suplex Stevens on the tacks was blocked. Stevens tried to power bomb Xcean onto the tacks, but that was also blocked. Xcean used a low blow to buy enough time to set up a ladder in the center of the ring. Xcean climbed to the top and dragged Stevens up with him and they battled at the top until Stevens punched Xcean down to the mat.
Stevens watched from the top of the ladder as Xcean rolled to the apron and tried to stand upright. When Xcean did so and turned around, Stevens flew from the ladder with a blockbuster over the top rope and through the tables at ringside. Both men remained down for so long that two referees came to check on them.
Eventually, Stevens and Xcean made it back into the ring of their own accord, met in the center and exchanged blows until Stevens used an Olympic Slam to drive Xcean into the pile of thumbtacks once again. From there, Stevens followed with a curb stomp and made the cover for the win.
