Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 167 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Bash at the Brew 34 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on November 4, 2023. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
KILYNN KING vs. KIAH DREAM
Kiah Dream seemed very confident as she talked trash to Kilynn King in the center of the ring. However, once the bell rang, King body slammed Dream three times, hit a forward suplex and a flying knee from the second rope that sent Dream out to the floor. King pulled Dream by her hair onto the apron, then held her high in a delayed vertical suplex that resulted in a near fall.
Dream turned the tide in her favor when she wriggled out of a fireman’s carry, snapped King’s neck on the top rope from the apron, and followed with a leg drop. After a near fall, Dream hit a DDT for another near fall, and a forward somersault cutter for yet another.
Dream set King up in one corner for a series of shoulder blocks, then whipped King into the opposite corner. King went up and over, then landed some chops, but suddenly, Dream hit a reverse STO and locked King in a cross face submission. King escaped and stood up with Dream on her shoulders, but Dream converted that into a sleeper hold.
King eventually threw Kiah over her shoulder to the mat, then hit an Exploder Suplex that left both women down. They exchanged blows as they rose to their feet until King grabbed a standing choke and threw Dream into the turnbuckle. From there, King hit two running back elbows, a fireman’s gut buster, and a DDT for a near fall.
Sensing the momentum shift, King went for the Excalibuster. Dream escaped and hit a cutter for a near fall, but found herself being propelled out of the ring by King moments later. King followed with a basement dropkick through the ropes, then laid Dream on the apron and kicked her in the side of the head. Back inside the ring, King withstood a stunner from Dream, then hit a roundhouse kick and the Excalibuster for the win.
WINNER: KILYNN KING
MATCH #2
ARIEL LEVY vs. JACKAL STEVENS (c)
CCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
After some early back and forth, Levy would hit two basement dropkicks, but went for a boot to the midsection and got caught. Levy tried to hit an ensiguri, but Stevens ducked, so Levy threw Stevens outside the ring. Levy went for a tope suicida, but Stevens caught him in mid-air and slammed him on the concrete floor.
When the action returned to the ring, Stevens was in control, hitting a springboard senton from the apron for a near fall and a tilt-a-whirl slam for another. Stevens hit a running knee in the corner and a suplex, then used a snap mare to set up a low kick to the back. Stevens hit two ripcord strikes, but Levy reversed the last one with a neck breaker.
Levy tried to come off the ropes, but Stevens caught him with a savate kick, then lifted him into the air for a Buckle Bomb. Stevens charged in the corner, but Levy moved and hit a snap German suplex. Levy hit Meteora knees in the corner, but Stevens countered with an Exploder Suplex into the turnbuckles that left both men down.
Stevens was up first and lifted Levy onto the top turnbuckle. Stevens climbed up, but Levy dropped down and hit a power bomb that left both men down once more. Levy was up first with two clotheslines, a basement dropkick and a knee strike that sent Stevens to the outside. Levy hit two topes, threw Stevens back into the ring, and climbed to the top rope for a flying elbow drop.
Moments later, the referee was knocked unconscious out of the view of the camera. Levy went to the corner to retrieve the championship belt, but Bill Alfonso left his seat at the commentary table to try to talk Levy out of using the weapon. Levy finally agreed and handed the belt off to Alfonso, then turned and charged Stevens without it.
Stevens caught Levy in a fireman’s carry, but Levy escaped. Levy came off the ropes for a sunset flip, but Stevens simply sat down and hooked the legs to retain. After the match, Levy showed that he may have changed his ways with a clean handshake and show of sportsmanship in the center of the ring.
WINNER: JACKAL STEVENS
