Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 175 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Bash at the Brew 36 from Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on January 6, 2024. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
METO (c) vs. OZZY KILMEISTER
CCW SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN CHALLENGE
Having been CCW Southeastern champion for over one year, a confident Meto came to the ring and issued an open challenge. Ozzy Kilmeister answered the call to a roar of approval from the crowd. Kilmeister tried for a quick victory with some rollups to get started, then went on the offensive with a headbutt, splash in the corner and a series of hard chops.
However, when the referee tried to break up the action in the corner, Meto used the distraction to ambush Ozzy with a lariat and take control of the match. Meto hit some cross face strikes, then choked Ozzy on the ropes. Kilmeister looked to come off of the second rope at one point, but Meto caught him in mid-air and converted into a belly-to-belly suplex.
Meto went to work on the neck of Ozzy Kilmeister until Ozzy used a chin breaker to create some space, and followed with a shoulder tackle, discus forearm, and flying headbutt to get the rally started. Kilmeister hit a back elbow in the corner and slammed Meto’s face into the buckle, but missed on a ripcord headbutt, allowing Meto to come off the ropes with a big boot.
Meto signaled for the end of Ozzy Kilmeister and lifted him into a fireman’s carry. Ozzy escaped and hit a series of headbutts and a spinning belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Kilmeister whipped Meto into ropes but the champ rebounded with a spear, then locked Kilmeister in the camel clutch until Ozzy passed out.
WINNER: METO
MATCH #2
STALLION ROGERS vs. ALAN ‘S2S’ MARTINEZ
These two competitors put on a display of chain wrestling to get this match started, with neither person gaining an advantage until Stallion Rogers faked a test of strength and hit a loud overhead chop, followed by an elbow strike, to Alan ‘S2S’ Martinez. Stallion whipped Martinez into the corner, but Martinez went up and over to set up a basement dropkick and a leg drop that sent Rogers to the outside to regroup.
Martinez followed with a basement dropkick through the ropes to the outside, but Rogers managed to yank Martinez off of the apron and shoved him into the ring post. Rogers tossed Martinez back inside the ring, after throttling him around ringside, and hit a knee drop for a near fall.
In the corner, Rogers hit a series of loud overhead chops, then whipped Martinez to the opposite corner to set up a Yakuza kick. After a knee strike in that same corner, Rogers went for a DDT, but Martinez escaped and suplexed Rogers into the turnbuckle. This fired up Martinez who rallied with two clotheslines, a springboard flying clothesline and a flying forearm from the top rope for a near fall.
Martinez climbed to the top rope once more, but, this time, Rogers got to his feet and knocked Martinez down to set up a superplex. When that garnered just a two count, Rogers hit a double stomp for another near fall. Martinez and Rogers exchanged chops and forearm strikes as they each rose to their feet, until Martinez hit an ensiguri and Rogers returned fire with a clothesline.
Martinez hit a German suplex, then Rogers hit one. Martinez hit a second German, Rogers hit a headbutt, then Martinez hit a superkick that left both men down. Another exchange of strikes, as they rose to their feet a second time, ended with two savate kicks from Martinez followed by a GTS for a near fall.
Martinez went back to the top rope, but Rogers pulled the referee in front of him as a shield. Martinez jumped off the top rope back down to the mat and hit a series of low kicks before charging at Rogers. As he did, though, Martinez was hit with a low blow from Rogers that resulted in an immediate disqualification.
After the match, Rogers attacked Martinez with a steel chair. Bill Alfonso tried to intervene and stop Rogers, but ended up being easily neutralized and shoved into the corner. As Rogers went back to pounding Martinez with the chair, however, the South American Alliance ran in to help and chased Rogers back to the dressing room.
WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: ALAN ‘S2S’ MARTINEZ
