Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 185 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Secret Treasure from the MIDFLORIDA Events Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida on February 23, 2024. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
MADMAN FULTON (c) vs. OZZY KILMEISTER
BOCA RATON CHAMPIONSHIP
Before this match got underway, Madman Fulton seemed determined to prove to Ozzy Kilmeister that he could headbang with the best of them. Madman showed off his head banging skills in the first round of the contest, then revealed the entire thing was a rouse when he attacked Kilmeister from behind during the second round.
Fulton choked Ozzy on the middle rope, then tried to slam Ozzy’s head into the turnbuckle. What Fulton did not expect was that Ozzy liked it. After Fulton let go, Kilmeister slammed his own head into the buckle repeatedly. The fans popped momentarily, but when Ozzy tried to come off the ropes, he was dropped with a shoulder block from Fulton.
Moments later, though, Ozzy would wait for Fulton to charge and pulled down the ropes, sending the Madman crashing to the outside. Kilmeister tried to follow, but Fulton yanked Ozzy’s leg out from under him, causing him to fall to the floor, then hit overhand chops to Kilmeister on each of the four sides of the ring.
Fulton threw Ozzy back into the ring and was attacked by Kilmeister before he could fully re-enter. However, an upper cut from Fulton stunned Ozzy and a hard whip into the corner sent Kilmeister tumbling back to the outside. Fulton assisted Kilmeister back into the ring with a suplex from the apron.
Still, Ozzy continued to fight back. He used a chin breaker to create some space, then hit a couple of back elbows in the corner. However, Fulton regained control with a lariat out of the corner and slowed things down with a rear chin lock on the mat that eventually converted into a modified bow-and-arrow.
After a knee drop, Fulton went back to choking Ozzy on the middle ropes, then hit a lariat from behind with Ozzy’s neck still draped over the ropes. Fulton followed with a knee to the midsection and a shoulder tackle in the corner. However, Ozzy moved out of the path of a springboard move from the apron, then evaded a running boot in the corner.
Finally, it seemed like Ozzy Kilmeister had some real momentum. Ozzy threw Fulton over the top rope to the floor, went out onto the apron for a running boot, then hit a cannonball off of the apron onto Fulton. Kilmeister tossed Fulton back in and came through the ropes with an elbow drop onto the Madman, then hit a facebuster and went for the ripcoard headbutt.
Fulton blocked the headbutt and went for a chokeslam. Ozzy blocked that move and hit a spinning Saito suplex that should have ended the match. However, after the referee’s hand hit the mat the third time, it became apparent that Fulton’s leg was on the rope during the count.
Unphased, Kilmeister connected with the ripcord headbutt, then hit another after blocking a boot from Fulton. Madman Fulton slumped into the corner after those strikes, but managed to get a boot up when Ozzy charged. Fulton climbed to the top rope and Ozzy joined him. The two competitors battled up top until Fulton choke slammed Ozzy back down to the mat and followed with a flying elbow drop.
WINNER: MADMAN FULTON
MATCH #2
JACKAL STEVENS vs. METO (c)
CCW SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP
A series of lockups and resets to start the match eventually turned into a staredown at the ringside area with Jackal Stevens and Meto nose-to-nose until the referee broke it up and demanded they return to the ring. Once that happened, the CCW Southeastern Champion took control with a headbutt in the corner and a boot choke.
Meto tossed Stevens through the ropes to the outside and followed right behind. Stevens connected with some chops at ringside, but Meto regained control by slamming Jackal into the steel ring steps. Back inside the ring, Meto would continue the assault with a couple of headbutts, but was reversed on an Irish Whip with a Jackal Stevens Thesz Press.
Stevens followed that up with an elbow drop that caused Meto to roll to the apron. Stevens leapt to the second rope for a lariat to Meto, but Meto ducked and connected with one of his own. Meto re-entered and went back to the boot choke to the referee’s dismay. Stevens eventually fought his way out and hit a swinging neck breaker and a modified Oklahoma Roll for a near fall.
That was the end of the rally though, as the savvy champion grabbed Stevens by the tights and propelled him into the turnbuckle, then raked his back and hit a suplex. Meto got a near fall after a double underhook suplex, but Stevens was not finished. Jackal hit a series of chops and kick that culminated with a springboard back kick that sent Meto to the outside.
Stevens finally hit the springboard lariat when Meto climbed up to the apron, followed with a springboard plancha, and threw Meto back into the ring. Stevens climbed to the top rope, but Meto met him up there and threw Stevens back down to the mat. Both men remained down on the mat momentarily, but began exchanging blows from their knees and, eventually, their feet.
Stevens only got a one count with a cazadora roll up, after which Meto leapt up and nailed Jackal with a superkick. Meto hit a German suplex, then another of the belly-to-belly variety, the latter ending in a near fall. Off of the pin attempt, Stevens went for another quick pinfall, but Fulton kicked out and sent Stevens crashing into the referee.
With the referee knocked out, Meto hit a German suplex and went for the spear. Stevens saw it coming, blocked it with a superkick, then hit an Olympic slam and made the cover. The referee was just coming to and started to count the pinfall until Eddie Taurus ran out and put Meto’s leg on the ropes before the count of three.
Stevens, distracted by Eddie Taurus, got hit with a headbutt from Meto. Meto whipped Stevens into the ropes, but Stevens ducked Meto and hit a tope suicida onto Eddie Taurus outside the ring. Again, the distraction allowed Meto to regroup. He followed Stevens to the outside, flung Jackal into the ring steps, and tossed the challenger back into the ring.
Meto went for a suplex, but Stevens escaped and ended up on the apron. Jackal hit an ensiguri from the apron and climbed to the top for a Blockbuster. When that connected, the fans began to anticipate a title change. However, this time, Taurus pulled the referee out of the ring by her feet to prevent the three count.
After that, a brawl ensued with Skitz, Ozzy Kilmeister, Cha Cha Charlie, and Ariel Levy coming out to assist Jackal Stevens and The Nightriders out to support Meto and Taurus. Eventually, order was restored as the babyfaces cleared the ring, but this war is far from over.
RESULT: NO CONTEST
