Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 193 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Anniversary 20 from the MidFlorida Event Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida on April 19, 2024. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
JACKAL STEVENS vs. MATT RIDDLE
After a series of lock ups and resets, and an exchange of shots in the center of the ring, Stevens struck first with a elbow and charged the corner. Riddle reversed with a head scissors that sent Jackal Stevens tumbling over the top rope to the floor. Stevens pulled Riddle outside briefly, then threw Riddle back inside for a springboard senton.
Riddle returned fire with a flying forearm, exploder suplex and running boot, then climbed to the top rope. Stevens made it to his feet in time and stunned Riddle with an ensiguri. Stevens climbed up with Riddle and hit a superplex for a near fall. Now with the momentum, Stevens hit a spin kick followed by a springboard back kick.
As Riddle rolled to the apron, Stevens leapt to the second rope and clotheslined Riddle down to the floor. Stevens hit a springboard plancha and threw Riddle back into the ring. Stevens returned with another springboard senton, but still could not seal the victory.
All of a sudden, Riddle hit a snap German suplex, climbed to the top rope, and connected with the Broton. When that garnered just a two count, Riddle went for a Tombstone piledriver. Stevens managed to escape, so Riddle started pummeling Stevens with kicks. Stevens hulked up a little more with each boot until unleashing a Saito suplex on Riddle.
Riddle slumped into one corner, waited until Stevens charged, and lifted Jackal up and over onto the apron. Stevens jumped up to the top rope and Riddle followed right behind. After a brief exchange, Stevens hit an amazing Canadian Destroyer from the top rope that left both men down.
Stevens eventually crawled over and made the cover, but a re-energized Riddle kicked out furiously at one. Riddle went for the RKBro, but Stevens blocked it. Instead, Riddle locked Stevens in a triangle choke that slowly, but surely, sealed his victory. After the match, the two competitors shook hands in the center of the ring… and then Riddle hit Stevens with the RKBro.
WINNER: MATT RIDDLE
MATCH #2
BILLY GUNN & BRADY BOOKER vs. ELIJAH DRAGO & JIMMY WILD
Elijah Drago started this match and hit a shoulder tackle that sent Billy Gunn to the outside to regroup. When he returned, Gunn faked a test of strength, did a crotch chop, and told Drago to “SUCK IT!” A second test of strength was proposed. This time, Drago faked and nailed Gunn with a knee to the mid-section, and whipped Gunn across the ring from corner to corner.
Gunn would rebound from the corner after the final whip with a shoulder tackle that sent Drago all the way out of the ring. Jimmy Wild would return in his place and immediately was dropped with a shoulder tackle from Gunn. Gunn followed with a neck breaker, then tagged in Brady Booker.
A flurry of offense ended with Jimmy Wild tossing Booker over the top rope. Booker skinned the cat and returned to the ring with a body slam to Wild. Booker followed with a series of football dropdown splashes, and went for a spear in the corner. Wild barely evaded the spear when Drago pulled him out of the ring by his foot at the last second. Booker followed them to ringside, clanged Wild and Drago’s heads together, and threw Wild back into the ring.
Wild waited in the corner and hit a boot to the midsection as Booker approached, followed by a neck breaker. Wild made the cover, but, from the apron, Billy Gunn pulled him off of Booker by his hair. Wild tagged in Drago who quickly hit a springboard shoulder tackle.
Soon, Booker found himself trapped in Wild and Drago’s corner. Drago and Wild made quick tags and cut off the ring until simultaneous clotheslines left Booker and Drago down on the mat. Both crawled over and made their respective tags at the same time.
Gunn punched Jimmy Wild in the face. Drago ran back in and Gunn immediately threw him over to top rope to the floor. Gunn went for the Fame-Ass-Er, but Drago tripped him from the outside. Gunn turned around into a leg lariat from Jimmy Wild that nearly ended the match.
Drago returned to join Wild on a double back body drop, but Gunn reversed with a boot to each of their faces when they bent over. Booker ran in and speared Elijah Drago straight out of the ring as Billy Gunn connected with the Fame-Ass-Er to Jimmy Wild to pick up the victory.
WINNERS: BILLY GUNN & BRADY BOOKER
