Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 195 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 40 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on May 4, 2024. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
ARIEL LEVY & ALAN ‘S2S’ MARTINEZ vs. ELIOT QROW & JAMES TAPIA
Eliot Qrow attacked Ariel Levy from behind before the bell rang, but Levy quickly turned the tables hitting a dropkick off of a corner whip, then teaming up with Alan ‘S2S’ Martinez for a double ensiguri from the apron. From there, Martinez and Levy subdued Qrow even further with a rally of team offense including a boot and leg drop from Martinez, running knee from Levy, leaping forearm from Martinez, Meteora knees from Levy and a split legged moonsault from Martinez in the blink of an eye.
After a double hip toss and simultaneous kicks to Qrow’s chest, Levy climbed to the top. However, Fer Rojas grabbed Levy’s leg from the outside and caused enough of a distraction to allow Qrow to recover. Eliot pulled Levy off of the top by his leg, then hit a splash in the corner before finally tagging James Tapia.
Tapia slowed things down with some strategic strikes to set up a Three Amigos. Instead of a third suplex, Tapia hit a neckbreaker instead. After a near fall, Tapia brought Qrow back in for a side slam/running stomp combination that led to another near fall. Levy continued to fight back, only to be thwarted at every turn.
Eventually, Levy moved when Qrow charged the corner, then hit a step up ensiguri that left both men down. Levy made the hot tag to Martinez, who leveled Tapia and Qrow with dropkicks then hit a double underhook back breaker to Tapia. Martinez made the cover, but Fer Rojas distracted the referee to prevent the count.
Levy left the apron and neutralized Rojas by throwing him into the steel ring steps, but Qrow and Tapia remained in the ring and hit a spinebuster/savate kick combination. Levy slid back into the ring to prevent a pinfall, leading to a four man brawl in the center of the ring.
Martinez whipped Qrow into James Tapia, then Levy hit Tapia with a codebreaker. Martinez clotheslined Qrow over the top rope, then sprung in from the apron to assist Levy with (did I hear this correctly?) a Cornette Driver to Tapia to pick up the victory.
WINNERS: ARIEL LEVY & ALAN ‘S2S’ MARTINEZ
MATCH #2
CHA CHA CHARLIE vs. STALLION ROGERS
Cha Cha Charlie wasted no time on this night, hitting a tope suicida to Stallion Rogers during Rogers’ entrance. Charlie quickly slid Rogers into the ring and hit a Saito suplex that sent Rogers fleeing back to ringside. So, Charlie hit him with another tope suicida.
After threatening to hit Rogers with his guitar, Cha Cha thought better of it and threw Rogers back into the ring. Charlie hit a clothesline and upper cut in the corner, then used a snap mare to set up the Mangu Splash. However, Rogers moved out of the way at the last second and hit a double stomp to shift the momentum in his direction.
For the next few minutes, Rogers maintained control but took his time between moves. Charlie tried to use those breaks to regroup and mount a rally, but was unsuccessful as Rogers seemed to have an answer for every move Charlie made. Soon, though, after Rogers hit a boot in the corner and a German suplex, Stallion charged a slumped Charlie in the corner, but got nailed with a boot to the face.
Cha Cha jumped up to his feet and hit a sling blade, then another, and a Full Nelson German suplex that got the fans up on their feet. Charlie followed with a leg lariat, leg drop, and a Cha Cha elbow for a near fall, then went for a suplex. Rogers reversed into a brainbuster which left both men down on the mat.
Both men exchanged shots as they rose to their feet. Rogers took advantage first with a headbutt, then followed with running boot, running knee, and basement dropkick in the corner. Rogers went for a DDT, but Charlie mustered enough strength to reverse with an Exploder suplex into the corner and went for a back stabber.
Rogers held onto the ropes to block the move, then hit a backpack shoulder breaker for a near fall and looked for Charlie’s guitar. Rogers grabbed the instrument, but the referee took it from him as he prepared to hit Charlie. When Rogers turned to argue with the referee, Cha Cha hit a low blow and climbed to the top.
At that moment, Danny Briggs left his position on commentary and took Charlie’s hat as a distraction. When the referee approached the corner to admonish Briggs, Stallion Rogers hit a low blow to Charlie. As the referee turned back around, Rogers hit Charlie with a headbutt and made the cover for the win.
After the match, Briggs joined Rogers in the ring for a double team attack on Charlie. Soon, the South American Alliance ran in to save Charlie. Right behind them were The Qrown and Meto for a brawl that spread in all directions. When order was finally restored, Ariel Levy took the microphone to challenge Briggs, Rogers and The Qrown to Game of War on June 15. First, though, an eight man tag match on June 1. The winners get a one-man advantage in Game of War.
WINNER: STALLION ROGERS
