Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 198 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s match was pre-taped at Bash at the Brew 41 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on June 1, 2024. Here is what happened:
MATCH #1
CHRIS FARROW, VINICIOUS, ALAN ‘S2S’ MARTINEZ, & CHA CHA CHARLIE vs. THE QROWN, STALLION ROGERS & DANNY BRIGGS
NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH FOR ONE MAN ADVANTAGE IN GAME OF WAR
Due to travel issues, Ariel Levy was unable to join his compadres in this important Game of War Advantage match. Chris Farrow served as a suitable replacement, but could he help bring home the victory for the good guys? Of course, as soon as the bell rang, there was an eight-man brawl in the center of the ring. Rogers, Briggs and The Qrown rolled outside to regroup, but they would not be given much time.
Cha Cha Charlie hit a springboard plancha onto all four men at ringside, then Farrow followed with a tope con hilo. Alan ‘S2S’ Martinez came behind them with a step-up suicide dive. Vinicious carefully walked onto the apron, waited for the right moment, and dove onto all seven men.
Vinicious grabbed a chair and clocked Stallion Rogers with it as he re-entered the ring. At the same time, Alan ‘S2S’ Martinez climbed to the top rope and hit a coast-to-coast kick to Rogers with Vinicious holding the chair in front of Rogers’ face. Martinez tried to springboard back in from the apron, but got hit in the face with a chair thrown by Maximus Khan.
Leonis Khan joined his brother for a double spinebuster to Vinicious, then turned to face off with Chris Farrow. From behind, though, Cha Cha Charlie evened the score with a chair shot to both Khans. Rogers returned, snapped Farrow’s neck on the top rope, then hit a power bomb followed by a double stomp. Briggs joined Rogers in the ring for double team that included a dual suplex.
Vinicious re-entered briefly, but was neutralized by Briggs and Rogers. They turned their attention back to Farrow, who started an exchange of shots in the center of the ring and tried to come off the ropes. Rogers saw it coming and hit a back elbow to set up a basement dropkick from Briggs as Farrow slumped into the corner.
Briggs made the cover, but Cha Cha Charlie broke it up and smashed a water bottle on Briggs’ head. A body slam and a Cha Cha elbow led to a near fall, then Charlie threw Rogers out of the ring and joined him so all eight men were outside. In the commotion, The Qrown retrieved a table from under the ring and set it up in one corner.
First, Maximus Khan tried to spear Alan Martinez through the table, but Martinez blocked with a boot to the face. Leonis tried, but Vinicious ran in and stood in Leonis’ path to block again. The four men paired off in opposite corners until Vinicious stood on the second rope over Maximus and started unloading with shots. Leonis dispatched Martinez, then came over to assist Maximus with a power bomb that sent Vinicious crashing through the table.
Maximus made the cover, but Martinez returned to break up the pin with a springboard leg drop from the apron. Martinez hit a savate kick, but Leonis countered with a Falcon Arrow for a near fall. Charlie again broke up the pinfall attempt, then hit a backstabber to Leonis and climbed to the top rope. Charlie hit a Mangu Splash that nearly won the match, but Danny Briggs pulled the referee out of the ring by the leg before the count of three.
Briggs hit Charlie with a headbutt and a DDT for a near fall. Farrow broke it up and tried to throw Briggs through the table. Briggs tried to throw Farrow through the table, but Farrow came off the ropes with a hurricanrana and followed with a leg lariat. Stallion Rogers snuck into the ring, came up from behind, and hit Farrow with a German suplex.
Farrow was up quickly and began to exchange shots with Rogers in the center of the ring. Farrow hit a dropkick off of a whip, then charged the corner with a spear. Farrow rolled to the apron, and returned with a springboard flying forearm to set up a standing Sliced Bread. When that was successful, Farrow climbed to the top for his 450° splash.
Unfortunately, Rogers moved out of the way of the splash. Farrow hit the mat, turned around, and was leveled by a spear from Meto who was not even in the match. Meto helped Rogers to his feet. Rogers hit a pump handle piledriver to Farrow and made the cover for the win to earn a one-man advantage in Game of War in two weeks.
WINNERS: STALLION ROGERS, DANNY BRIGGS, & THE QROWN
