Mega Championship Wrestling “Thursday Turmoil” – 9/5/24

Mega Championship Wrestling presented Thursday Turmoil on Facebook Live on September 5, 2024. Here’s what happened:

  • Koty Gray def. El Taino
    • The much smaller El Taino tried a stick-and-move approach early, but Koty Gray turned the tide with a nasty lariat. Gray looked to put Taino away early with an Avalanche to set up a bear hug, but Taino managed to escape and started a rally. However, when Taino went to the top rope for a splash, Gray moved out of the way at the last second, then destroyed Taino with a spear.
  • R.J. Jonesie def. Dustin Bowers
    • R.J. Jonesie struggled mightily against the size and strength of Dustin Bowers, but managed to shift the momentum in his direction with an eye rake to Bowers in the corner. Jonesie dominated until he tried his luck in a chop competition with Bowers. Bowers laid Jonesie out with the final chop and got a near fall on a elbow drop, but Jonesie escaped a fireman’s carry with a sunset flip. When that garnered just a two count, Jonesie hit a modified Future Shock DDT and immediately rolled through into an inverted chin lock submission to earn the victory.
  • Kash, Inc. def. Pastor C-Lo & Dios Salvador (Mega Tag Team Championship)
    • The wheel was spun and chose Pastor C-Lo and Dios Salvador to face off one-on-one, but Colt Johnson changed the plan and forced Salvador and C-Lo to team up to face the Mega Tag Team Champions, Kash, Inc. for the titles. C-Lo insisted on starting the match, but was quickly overtaken by the champions. Dios Salvador tagged in and mounted a rally, hitting a leg lariat and Three Amigos to set up a frog splash. However, Kash, Inc. broke up the pin attempt, speared C-Lo off the apron, then hit their finisher to retain.
  • Tessen Gates def. Jamal Kimble & Brassi Suave (Triple Threat Match)
    • When the wheel selected tag partners Kimble and Gates as two of the three competitors in the triple threat, it seemed like a daunting task for the final entrant, Brassi Suave. Facing an immediate two on one situation, Suave powdered and tried to stay away from Kimble and Gates for as long as possible. Of course, once they caught Suave, the double team was on. Soon, though, dissension started to build between Gates and Kimble. They argued over who would cover Suave for a pinfall multiple times, each time allowing Suave to rally. At the end, Suave hit a sit out facebuster on Kimble and went for the cover, but Tessen Gates pulled Brassi Suave off of Kimble and pinned Kimble himself.
  • Colt Johnson (c) def. Chris Onyx (Mega Brass Knuckles Championship)
    • The champion seemed over confident as he strode to the ring, but at the beginning of the match, he ran from Chris Onyx at every turn. Eventually, Onyx tired of the games and chased Johnson around ringside until Johnson returned to the ring. Onyx tried to work the shoulder of the Brass Knuckles champion, but Johnson used an eye rake to create some space, then stood on Onyx’s throat until the referee forced a break. Onyx tried to rally with a really cool springboard DDT and a modified Shining Wizard, but Kash, Inc. ran in on a referee distraction, clocked Onyx with the tag title belt and placed Johnson on top of Onyx as the referee came to.
