Ryse Wrestling presented Thursday Throwdown Episode 31 on Youtube on September 5, 2024. This episode’s matches were taped at Ryse’s live event at the Fayette County Fair in Dunbar, Pennsylvania on July 26, 2024. Here’s what happened:
- A.J. Alexander def. Vesper
- The mysterious Vesper took control early, but Alexander, sporting a more aggressive style following his tour of Japan, quickly turned the tide. From there, Alexander put on a dominant performance, thwarted a short rally from Vesper, then hit a pump handle sit-out bomb for the win. After the match, Alexander faked a handshake then assaulted Vesper once more.
- Jason Hendrix def. Brandon Lee
- Hendrix kept running from Brandon Lee early in the match, but he was waiting for his moment. Hendrix powdered after a hip toss, then baited Lee to the apron where he trapped Lee’s legs in the ropes. Hendrix continued to work the leg from there once the action returned to the ring. Lee managed to connect with a cutter from the second rope, then tried to climb to the top rope. Lee’s weakened leg slowed him long enough for Hendrix to climb up top with Lee and hit a superplex. After a near fall, Lee charged with a boot and Hendrix pulled the referee into Lee’s path. Lee stopped just in time, but Hendrix used the distraction to hit an STO to earn the victory.
