Fire Star Pro Wrestling made their show “We Fight Back!” from September 1, 2024 available to view on Youtube. Here’s what happened:
- Blade Brown def. Techno
- Blade Brown dominated the middle stages of this match. Techno mounted a rally off of a missed Pounce by Brown. Techno hit a springboard clothesline, hurricanrana and spinning splash, then went for a handspring cutter and missed, then again and missed again. Blade got up first and hit the Pounce to earn the victory.
- Spicy Saints def. Pure Temptation
- A.C. Devine and Dynamite Jackson withstood and early flurry of offense from Saint Julious, but soon took control and cut the ring in half to keep Zion Hart from getting into the match. A.C. Devine lifted Julious into a fireman’s carry, but spun and caused Julious to knock down Jackson, which gave Julius the chance to make the hot tag. Soon all four men were in the ring. Julious and Jackson brawled over the top rope to the floor. Devine went for a boot to the gut, Hart caught it and reversed with a nasty lariat for the win.
- “No Joke” Arin Wilson def. Jet Jaghori
- Arin Wilson made a mistake early on a springboard maneuver and got his leg caught in the ropes. Sensing opportunity, FSPW newcomer Jet Jaghori targeted the leg and, soon, locked Wilson in a figure four. Somehow, Wilson managed to turn over to reverse the move, but Jaghori quickly moved on to a sharpshooter. Wilson reached the ropes and forced a break, then reversed a dragon screw leg whip by landing on his feet and hit the springboard moonsault to end the night for Jet Jaghori.
- “Kid Neon” Derrick Eisley def. Elliot Shock
- Kid Neon used a Pelé kick to shift the momentum late in the match. Shock went for a strike to the back of the head, but Eisley returned fire with a lariat off the ropes. Shock went for a back drop, but Kid Neon landed on his feet and suddenly reversed into a tornado DDT.
- Top Shootas def. The Delinquents
- The Delinquents befuddled Top Shootas early with a combination of Mikey Banker’s strength and Josh Fuller’s speed. Top Shootas eventually turned the tide and focused on the right arm of Josh Fuller. Fuller soon escaped a fireman’s carry with a tornado DDT, then leap frogged Trey Da’Rula to make the tag to Banker. With all four men in the ring, Fuller tried to come off the ropes, but Andrew Diggs grabbed Fuller’s leg from the outside. A knee strike sent Banker outside the ring, then Top Shootas combined for a modified Doomsday Device on Josh Fuller.
- Cameron Collins def. Cooper Valentine
- Cooper Valentine gained an advantage early when the action spilled outside and Cameron Collins got stuck in the ring apron. Valentine used nefarious tactics like rope chokes to keep Collins subdued for a while, but soon, Collins used a chin breaker to create some space and a superkick to kick the rally into full gear. Valentine used a throat strike, out of the view of the referee, to slow Collins, then got a near fall with a Michinoku Driver. After a battle on the apron, Collins springboarded himself into the ring over Valentine then rebounded off the ropes with a lariat to put Cooper away.
- Rob Killjoy def. “Sweet Heat” Ray Shaw & Draken (Triple Threat Match)
- For a long time, this match was a series of quick shifts in momentum, with none of the three competitors having an advantage for more than a few seconds. At one point, Killyjoy locked Draken in a Gory Special while also locking Ray Shaw in a Camel Clutch, which was very cool. Later, Draken went for a superplex to Rob Killjoy, but Ray Shaw intervened and power bombed them both. As the match wound down, Killjoy and Draken battled on the apron, until Shaw speared Draken to the floor. Killjoy followed behind with a springboard moonsault onto Shaw and Draken, threw Draken back inside, and annihilated him with double underhook piledriver.
Fire Star Pro Wrestling’s next event will be “Boxcar Slam” which takes place on September 13, 2024 at Boxcar Bar and Grille in Greensboro, North Carolina. Check FSPW’s social media for more information.
