EPW Wrestling aired Episode 56 on September 22, 2024 on their Youtube channel. Here’s what happened:
MATCH #1
EVOLUTION OF GREATNESS vs RACE RICHARDS & ELIJAH OWENS
Elijah Owens started hot for his team, but Race Richards missed a charge into the corner which allowed Evolution of Greatness to take control. Richards tried to mount a rally when he reversed a suplex with a headbutt.
However, as he went to make the tag, Dorian Vain ran in from the back, pulled Elijah Owens off the apron, and began beating him mercilessly. With Owens out of commission, E.O.G. overwhelmed Race Richards together. Moments later, they hit a Shooting Star Press to put Richards away.
WINNERS: EVOLUTION OF GREATNESS
PROMO – MARKO HARRIS
Marko Harris came down to discuss how his journey back to the EPW Championship has been slowed by constant two-on-one attacks from Brandon Savage and his crew. Harris reminded everyone that he is the best EPW has to offer, and let the champion know that, next time they come for Hangtime Harris, they better get the job done, or else.
MATCH #2
CHUCK “BROWN SUGAR” SWANN vs ELI KNOX
Eli Knox was cocky as the match started, but a simple hip toss sent him outside the ring to regroup. When Knox re-entered, he used a distraction from Andrew Bates to attack the debuting “Brown Sugar” Swann from behind.
Eli Knox thwarted several rally attempts, but, all of a sudden, Swann hulked up after a chop from Swann and unloaded with several of his own to get the rally started. With the momentum now on his side, Swann hit a charging knee in the corner and a DDT, then went for an urunage. Knox reversed into an STO and hit a leg drop bulldog to end the night for the new guy.
WINNER: ELI KNOX
MATCH #3
THE INITIATIVE (c) vs. PARENTAL ADVISORY
EPW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Parental Advisory’s early strategy in this match was to use quick tags and cut off the ring, and it worked for a while. However, when Hunt whipped Dabbs into the corner, Jason Genesis kicked him in the back from the apron to turn the tide for the champions.
From there, it was the champions who cut off the ring, and used nefarious tactics, to maintain their newfound edge. Dabbs reversed a sidewalk slam into a hurricanrana, which allowed him to tag out to Dakota Gage. Dakota hit a spinebuster as Dabbs climbed to the top rope, but Trace Lee Hunt ran in, knocked Dabbs down, then hit a superplex as Genesis flew off the top with a frog splash.
Somehow that failed to end the match, so the champs tossed Gage out of the ring, then hit The Initiator on Hunter Dabbs to retain. After the match, Twins of Salem appeared on the video screen to let The Initiative know they’re coming to reclaim their titles.
