CCW Alive Episode 209 “Good” – 9/24/24

Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 209 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode’s matches were pre-taped at CCW Bash at the Brew 44 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on August 31, 2024. Here is what happened:

MATCH #1
Q.T. MARSHALL (c) vs. OZZY KILMEISTER
CCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN CHALLENGE

The crowd erupted when CCW Cruiserweight Champion, Ozzy Kilmeister, answered the open challenge of Q.T. Marshall. As popular as Marshall has been in recent months, the fans were solidly behind Ozzy. Kilmeister was on fire as the match began, hitting headbutts and sentons until Marshall vacated the ring.

Back inside the ring, Marshall continued to withstand punishment until he reversed an Irish Whip with a handspring ensiguri. Marshall followed with a handspring back elbow and a springboard moonsault and seemed to be in control of the match. Moments later, though, Kilmeister hulked up after successive shots by Marshall, then hit a shoulder tackle and a spinning headbutt.

Ozzy reversed another handspring back elbow into an Olympic Slam, then climbed to the top rope. Ozzy missed and Marshall hit an ensiguri. Kilmeister countered with a spinebuster into a jackknife pin for a near fall, and would have won the match after a subsequent big headbutt. However, Marshall got a foot on the ropes to break up the count.

Frustrated, Ozzy climbed to the top rope, but was punched in the face by Marshall as he flew through the air. When that garnered just a two count, Marshall called for the cutter. Kilmeister reversed with another big headbutt for a near fall. Suddenly, though, Marshall jumped up the cutter to retain. After the match, Meto came out to the ring and speared Marshall to set up their title match at Bash at the Brew 45.

WINNER: Q.T. MARSHALL

MATCH #2
CHA CHA CHARLIE vs. ALEX XCEAN

Cha Cha Charlie graciously allowed time for a fan to propose to his girlfriend, before the match began. Alex Xcean did not care. Xcean attacked Cha Cha Charlie from behind before the bell rang. Xcean dominated in the corner until Charlie reversed a whip with a sling blade, then hit a dropkick and a top rope flying European upper cut.

Xcean shifted the momentum back in his direction briefly when he blocked the referee’s view long enough to hit a low block kick on Charlie. Moments later, though, Charlie escaped a suplex and reversed into one of this own. Charlie climbed to the top and hit the Mangu Splash, but could not get the victory. So, Charlie put the hat on (the magic ingredient, apparently), hit an even better Mangu Splash, and sealed the deal.

WINNER: CHA CHA CHARLIE
