MCW Pro Wrestling “Season’s Beatings” – 12/27/24

MCW Pro Wrestling presented “Season’s Beatings” event at the R.J. Meyer Arena in Joppa, Maryland on December 27, 2024. Here’s what happened:

MATCH #1
ALEX DIVINE (c) vs. TONY MACKO vs. CHRIS SLADE vs.
JADIS QUINN vs ALEC ODIN vs CHUCK LENNOX
MCW RAGE TV CHAMPIONSHIP SIX PACK CHALLENGE

Alec Odin dominated most of the middle stages of this match as all five of his opponents took at shot at Odin one-on-one and failed. It was not until Rage TV Champion, Alex Divine, hit a satellite DDT and Chris Slade followed with handspring cutter that Odin was finally felled.

With Odin out of commission, Chuck Lennox re-entered and battled Divine up to the top rope. Divine won that battle and knocked Lennox down to the mat. From there, Divine hit his spinning top rope splash to pick up the victory. After the match, Odin made it clear he is coming for Divine’s title one-on-one.

WINNER: ALEX DIVINE

MATCH #2
TIM SPRIGGS vs. SPENCER SLADE

After Tim Spriggs and Cash Carter turned on him at Fan Jam 3, Spencer Slade was champing at the bit to get a piece of Spriggs. Carter inserted himself in the match several times, causing MCW Commissioner Phil Stamper to come out and ban Carter from ringside.

The bigger problem for Tim Spriggs was that all of this commotion was occurring while Spriggs had Slade locked in a submission that would have won him the match, but the referee was unfortunately indisposed. When the referee turned his attention back to the match, Spriggs made his displeasure with the referee clear. At the same time, though, Slade recovered, grabbed Spriggs from behind and hit an Air Raid Slam for the win.

WINNER: SPENCER SLADE

MATCH #3
THE ZUKKOS vs THE HYPE (c)
MCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

There was something off about The Hype during this match as they never seemed to get in a rhythm against Ryan and Ronnie Zukko. Amara Voyd’s attempts to interfere from the outside did not help matters. Late in the match, the Zukkos hit the Magic Killer for a near fall, then Ryan went to the apron to get a legal tag. Khaz pulled Ryan off of the apron before that could happen.

At the same time, Amara Voyd took a shot at Myron Malone, leading to an argument between Ronnie Zukko and Voyd. Malone snuck up from behind, pushed Ronnie into Amara, and Khaz Lee returned for an assisted back drop with Malone to set up The Hype is Real. As they attempted the move, Ryan Zukko pushed his father out of the way, then used a quick roll up for the pin to win the tag titles.

As soon as the match ended, the venue went dark and an ominous video package played. When the lights came back up, A.K. Baine and Clay Jacobs were in the ring as Amara Voyd betrayed the Zukkos with a low blow, then joined Baine and Jacobs as they beat down the new champs.

WINNERS AND NEW CHAMPIONS: THE ZUKKOS

MATCH #4
GIA SCOTT (c) vs. NAHIR ROBLES
MCW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP

Nahir Robles stepped into this match at the last minute as a replacement for Megan Bayne and Robles nearly made good on the opportunity. Midway through the match, Robles hit a Vader Bomb that seemed certain to earn her the title. Robles followed with a body scissors, then clenched Scott’s head between her legs and rammed Scott’s head into the mat repeatedly.

Scott would turn the tide when Robles missed on a corner senton, following with a knee strike and an urunage for a near fall. Robles countered with a modified piledriver that would have won the match if Scott did not get a foot on the ropes to stop the count. Moments later, though, the champion got up, hit a spinebuster, and made the cover.

WINNER: GIA SCOTT

MATCH #5
MECCA vs. MIAMI MIKE WALKER
TEN LASHES MATCH

After a year of feuding between “Mecca” Brian Johnson, Miami Mike Walker, and Hellfire McGuire, everything came to a head with this Ten Lashes Match. If Mike Walker were to lose the match, Hellfire would take the ten lashes from Johnson. Johnson attacked McGuire at ringside early in the match, causing officials to come to ringside to help the injured McGuire to the back.

At the end of the match, as Johnson tried to remove one of the turnbuckle pads, McGuire returned and tried to stop Johnson, but the referee intervened. Moments later, Walker would lift Johnson up and over and down to the floor, then followed with two topes suicida. Walker threw Johnson back into the ring and flew from the top with a cross-body. However, Johnson rolled through, covered Walker, and got the pinfall.

After the match, Walker insisted on taking the lashes from Johnson. Before the tenth lash, McGuire appeared to step in to stop Johnson. Instead, though, McGuire took the belt from Johnson and unloaded on Walker himself. After the beat down, a stunned crowd watched as Johnson and McGuire shook hands, forming an evil union no one saw coming.

WINNER: “MECCA” BRIAN JOHNSON

MATCH #6
SAMURAY DEL SOL vs. MYLES HAWKINS

Myles Hawkins, fresh off of an appearance on AEW Rampage, was primed and ready for this confrontation with former WWE star, Samuray del Sol (fka Kalisto). Hawkins attacked del Sol before the bell and worked hard to slow the match down through the middle stages.

Of course, Samuray would make his comeback, leading to a back-and-forth conclusion. Samuray del Sol got a near fall after a top rope battle, then Hawkins countered with a Jackhammer for a near fall. Samuray hit a Satellite DDT, then climbed to the top rope. Hawkins caught del Sol and used a Crucifix Powerbomb to set up his finisher and get the win. Afterward, del Sol tried to shake hands, but Hawkins simply made fun of his height and walked off.

WINNER: MYLES HAWKINS

MATCH #7
KEN DIXON vs. PATRICK CLARK

In another feud that has spanned the past several months, Ken Dixon hit the ring on fire for the match against the former Velveteen Dream, Patrick Clark. Dixon went right for Clark and the brawling started before the bell even rang. The action spilled outside where Clark eventually took control. The beatdown continued back in the ring, with Dixon crawling on his hands and knees seemingly begging Clark for a break.

Dixon would finally show some life later in the match after a center-ring exchange of blows led to a Dixon overhead belly-to-belly suplex, then a snap powerslam for a near fall. Dixon hit a spine buster, then Clark hit a spine buster. Dixon hit a Death Valley Driver for a near fall, and Clark attempted to even the playing field with a low blow. Dixon caught it, lifted Clark into a fireman’s carry and hit the modified Flapjack finisher to pick up the hard fought victory.

WINNER: KEN DIXON

MATCH #8
ALL NATURAL vs. FENIX FURY & NIKITA

Early in this match, James Ellsworth of All Natural, called for the No Chin Music, his version of Shawn Michaels’ Sweet Chin Music. Nikita caught the boot and countered with a superkick of his own. Nikita made the hot tag to Fenix Fury, who quickly hit a Falcon Arrow for a near fall on Jeff Gainz.

At the same time, Nikita and Ellsworth returned and battled each other through the ropes and back to the outside. Fury and Gainz exchanged punches in the center of the ring, then suddenly, Gainz rolled up Nikita and put his foot on the ropes for extra leverage to earn the victory. After the match, while celebrating the win, James Ellsworth superkicked Simone Valentina and walked off with Gainz, leaving Nikita and Fury to console a shocked and dismayed Valentina in the ring.

WINNER: ALL NATURAL

MATCH #9
JOSEPH KEYS vs. DEMARCUS KANE vs. KAUN(c)
MCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Right off the bat in this huge main event, Joseph Keys’ Hustlers made their presence felt as they ganged up on Demarcus Kane. Kane would get some revenge when he threw a chair at Keys’ head which knocked Keys off the top rope and sent him crashing through the scorer’s table at ringside.

Later, Keys and the Hustlers turned their attention to Kaun. Keys grabbed two chairs and laid one under Kaun’s head to set up a Con-Chair-To. However, Moses returned after a lengthy absence to help Kaun take out Keys. Kane returned to the ring and the former Sons of Savagery took him out as well.

Keys and The Hustlers were not finished, though. They would go three-on-one versus Demarcus until Chuck Lennox ran down to the ring to help his Black Wallstreet stable mate. Lennox distracted The Hustlers as Gia Scott slid into the other side of the ring and speared Joe Keys out of his boots.

At this point, there is chaos at ringside with Scott, The Hustlers, Moses, Kaun, and Lennox all brawling while this title match was still going on. Kane does a suicide dive onto the pile, then set up a table in one corner as the fans chanted, “This is awesome!” Keys and Kaun battled near the corner as Kane waited for the right moment to spear Keys through the table. Keys moved and Kane speared Kaun instead.

Kane turned to battle Keys once more. Kane hit a pop-up upper cut and began to set up for his finisher when former MCW Champion Dante Caballero returned, attacked Kane, and helped Keys pick up the win to become the new MCW Champion.

WINNER AND NEW MCW CHAMPION: JOSEPH KEYS
