TV Review – CCW Alive Episode 150

Coastal Championship Wrestling “Alive” Episode 150 debuted Tuesday on YouTube. This episode match was pre-taped at CCW Bash at the Brew 29 from the Unbranded Brewing Company in Hialeah, Florida on June 3, 2023. Here is what happened:

MATCH #1
CHA CHA CHARLIE & REAL1 vs. THE NIGHT RIDERS

Originally, this match was slated to be a singles match between Real1 (fka Enzo Amore) and Eddie Valentine of the Night Riders. Valentine and his partner, Joe Garcia, hit the ring first. Valentine took the microphone and mocked Real1, saying his he has a body that is H-A-R-D, hard. Real1 entered next and refuted Valentine’s claim, saying Valentine makes Greg “The Hammer” Valentine look like Jason Momoa.

As soon as the match started, Joe Garcia began interfering from the outside. Garcia choked Real1 behind the referee’s back, then distracted Real1 on the top rope just long enough for Valentine to knock Real1 down. When Real1 fell, Valentine choked him with his boot, then distracted the referee long enough for Garcia to choke Real1 again.

Finally, Real1 reversed a sidewalk slam into a hurricanrana, then hit a builldog from the top rope and went for the pin. At that point, Garcia ran in again to break up the pin, resulting in a disqualification. At the same time, Cha Cha Charlie ran in to even the score and stop the double team. He joined Real1 and challenged Garcia and Valentine to a tag team match.

After the commercial, Real1 and Garcia started the tag match and, almost immediately, Real1 went for a leapfrong and appeared to injure his knee. As the referee checked on Real1, Garcia continued to attack. Valentine joined in on the double team as The Night Riders continued to prevent Real1 from making the tag to Cha Cha Charlie.

The action spilled outside briefly and Real1 was the first back into the ring. He went for the hot tag to Cha Cha Charlie, but Valentine blocked his path at the last second. Garcia returned for a body slam to set up a Swanton Bomb, but Real1 got his knees up which allowed him to finally tag Charlie.

As expected, Cha Cha Charlie hit the ring like a ball of fire. Charlie his a sling blade and a German suplex to Garcia for a near fall. Valentine broke up the pin, but was quickly thrown outside by Charlie. Cha Cha started dancing to signal the tope suicida and hit Valentine on the outside of the ring. Garcia began mocking Charlie’s dance and went for a tope onto Charlie, but Real1 intercepted Garcia with a forearm smash as Garcia flew through the ropes.

Real1 grabbed Garcia and lifted him into position for what looked like a crucifix bomb. Instead, Real1 slammed Garcia’s back into the ring post and threw him back into the ring. At the same time, Cha Cha Charlie climbed to the top rope and hit the Mangu Splash on Garcia for the win.
